"The property is extremely run down and not at all what I would consider a clean or comfortable stay. The room had a very strong and unpleasant plug-in fragrance smell that seemed to be covering up other odors. The pillows smelled heavily of body odor, the white towels were stained and the dye from the blue towels ran when wet. The bathroom and shower area need much better cleaning and maintenance. There was mildew on the bathroom ceiling, soap stains on the shower curtain that made it obvious it had not been washed before our stay, and a blue cleaning-product-like stain in the shower that appeared to have been sprayed but never wiped down. The toilet placement was awkward and would hit the wall when standing up. The body soap provided smelled old, did not lather properly, and felt very low quality. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my own toiletries and had no choice but to use it. Also, bring flip flops because walking barefoot in the room or bathroom is not something I would recommend. To be fair, the mattress was fairly comfortable and the atmosphere was quiet. The only positives were that the motel was pet-friendly and the front desk staff were friendly during check-in. Overall, I would not stay here again, even if it were free."

"Roach ! Roach !!!!! Roach !!!!!!!!!!! I have a bunch of pictures of roaches found in room. Wouldn’t give me over $100 room fee back because I paid on line . So left and took the loss. If you don’t want roaches DO NOT COME HERE . And do not pay online . Because will not get any type of refund . The worker was nice and she tried to. But hotel itself is disgusting ."

"We loved the cabin! Well equipped and the game room was a plus. The privacy of the cabin was fantastic. The owner was awesome and communicated all that we needed to know . Only suggestion we would have is a bigger bed in the master."

"Loved the cabin and the views. Accessing the cabin (roads) was very easy. This condo was very clean and the host was very responsive and accommodating. The beds are high/tall, making them difficult to get in and out. Mattress and pillows not very comfortable, but fine for short stay. Would definitely stay here again and look forward to checking out other cabins at Maco’s Resort Cabins."
