"Sangkla resort is nice clean place to stay in Sangklaburi, with friendly accommodating staff, but travellers staying at this resort must have their own transport to visit the local tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good for Asian food. Western style food was more limited but adequate. The only downside was that fried eggs are not kept warm ! "

"We stayed at grandmas for one week while volunteering at the dog sanctuary in town and we are very happy we chose to stay there. Grandma is very kind, inviting, and lovely to talk to. Her daughter is a ball of joy and very intelligent. The breakfast is top notch! We had fried rice and also some special Burmese cuisine. The bedroom and bathroom are very basic and not for picky people. (Basic mattress, squat toilet, cold shower, concrete floors). But you should stay here for the experience, and...

"We loved the beautiful wood building, the open breezy lobby and the riverside terrace. The wood room was lovely too. We would have liked to have comfortable chairs in the room balcony to spend some time reading, but other than that everything was perfect, plus they provided parking just across the street. ""great" hotel! highly recommended to waste your money! di not book it online - if something will happen with your trip not because of you, they will just defalcate your money. no wait any refund (both from hotel or orbitz). generally, don't book any hotels in Myanmar through online booking services - almost for sure you will loose your money (i lost money twice in a row (by 2 different reasons), using orbitz). good luck! "
