"This camp is excellent facilities and service wise and the provides incredible value for the price. There's tons of wildlife just at the camp during the day with elephants, gazelles, bucks, monkeys, hippos nearby, and lions roaring in the distance at night. The tent I stayed is right in front of the river with plenty of animals. The bathroom is well equipped and bed is comfortable. Hot water is available 24/7 which isn't always the case in Zambia because of frequent power cuts. The only negative is the lack of air conditioning since it does get to about 100F in October during the day and that does make it hard to sleep in the early evenings. The restaurant serves some amazing food and they have rotating daily specials in case you stay a while and eat through their standard menu. The food is well priced with entrees about $10-20 and wine and beer $3-5. They take your orders ahead of time so they can prepare the meals during your safari to be served right when you arrive back at camp. The meal service is very attentive and courses are brought out in a timely but uncrushed manner. The game drive is also excellent and very fairly priced. Kenneth had very deep knowledge of many species of birds, cats, dogs, etc. and tailed each drive to what we want to see. I also did a walking safari with them which was more of a nature walk tracking animal paw prints and droppings. The pool and lounging areas are well equipped but nothing overly lavish. Overall great value for the money."

"I stayed here for only one night before moving to Flatdogs and it really is a gorgeous camp. The room is nicely decorated with local art pieces and the dining area has a beautiful seating area with fire pits and tables overlooking the river and sunrise or sunset. The pool area has an amazing view of the river as well. The rooms and facilities are clean and well kept and the staff are constantly fishing leaves out of the pool because the area is quite dusty and windy in the dry season. Because Zambia has constant electricity shortages and load shedding, the hot water is only available at certain hours when there are power. This made for an awkward cold shower during the day after a in the pool but it's not a terrible deal breaker given the 100F temperature. Not running diesel generators and relying on solar is probably an environmental choice for them. The service could be improved a bit in terms of dining and poolside service. I had to proactively ask for a drink menu during dinner and breakfast and it seems not all items are available. I would have loved to be served some cold beer near the pool as well. Most clients are camping during my stay and quite happy to bring their own beer and snacks and not to be bothered to spend more money. If you're deciding between Flatdogs and Track and Trail, I'd say that this camp is better for chilling and relaxation while Flatdogs seems geared towards the safari crowd with twice daily scheduled game drives and quick attentive service."

"This was a wonderful and quiet place to stay in Chipata. The house was very clean and comfortable. The property was secure and even had a guard at night for added security. I would highly recommend. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in Chipata."

"From the first second or family arrived Andrew and Jacob s well as the rest of the staff were super friendly and took care of every need. They took our food orders, washed and dried our clothes, offered us drinks, set up the WiFi, and shared knowledge with us about Zambia and South Luangwa National Park. Our rooms and showers were clean and comfortable. Showers had hot water for those who enjoy that. We had a bonus from the local dance group and we enjoyed the traditional dance show. "

"Amazing hotel with outstanding customer service. We’re from Australia and on bicycles. We were warmly welcomed the moment we arrived and made to feel special! The food was exceptional! Dinner and breakfast surpassed our expectations. We’ve been travelling for 4 years so it was a lovely surprise ( congratulations to the chef!) The only negative comment is that the location on google maps is incorrect so we ended up cycling an extra 10 kms ! However just a minor point as the hotel certainly was a 10/10 for us. "
