"From the pick up at 0130AM from the airport to the warm reception once I woke, to the food and garden, clean rooms and pool, this is the perfect place to fight some jet lag and have as home base… I kept extending .. just couldn’t leave .. definitely a jewel in the Malawi crown and the epitome of “Warm Heart” hospitality!"

"Although the room was clean, the utilities were sub optimal. The desk chair was not suitable for working and there was no wall socket to connect my devices. Reception had to provide and extension from the only socket that the TV was connected to. Confirmation of booking was not easy. A person managing the booking from a UK number was more impersonal than friendly"

"Woodlands is a comfortable property -- I was there with 8 college students -- with a very welcoming and kind staff. I have stayed there multiple times and rate their restaurant as the best food I have had in Malawi. I look forward to staying there again."

"A more affordable option in Senga Bay, but still a very nice place in its own right. Much more personable than the more anonymous, bigger hotels. Super friendly staff and owner, great breakfast (with coffee!) and a big room with AC."
