"Positives: Beds very comfortable. Good bedding. Good hot water in shower.Host send help right away to resolve a couple of issues. Negatives: place could use some paint on walls and door. Hot water not working well in bathroom and kitchen sink. Barely warm water. Oven was old and not inviting to cook in. Heat pumps don’t heat well throughout. Good thing we bring a portable heater. "Excellent hotel in Covilhã, we visit Covilhã every couple of months for medical reasons, there are two hotels that we use, both with pools, depending upon the price at the time. This time it was Donna Marie. Excellent as always, everything works, is clean, and relaxing. The pool area is incredible, a good sized indoor pool, poolside recliners, jacuzzi and shower. The outdoor area is really cool Lots of recliners and squishy chairs & sofas with parasols ☺️ Very good breakfast buffet, the fried eggs are cooked to perfection 😋 Lots of breads, meats, eggs, veg, puddings & desserts, three coffee machines, and a yoghurt machine ! Plus free parking and its close to the centre of Covilhã 殺"

"So much history at this property. It is beautiful. While we were FaceTiming with our son, he commented on the church behind us. We clarified that it was a former convent and it was our hotel. He thought that was really special. So did we. The staff was great and very helpful in making suggestions on what to see and where to eat. We wish we had more time as there is so much history within a 60 mile (100 km) radius of Serta. Specifically the knights of the Templar. It is fascinating. The property is right next to a beautiful park and the Roman Bridge, which led to the best restaurant in town. The food there was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. The only issue we had with our room was our air conditioner would not come on after it shut off (taking the room key out of the slot or opening the door to the patio). The staff was super helpful in resetting things from the front desk when it was needed (about 5 times). The staff was apologetic, but made sure we were happy. We have traveled a lot and the buffet breakfast here was one of the best we have ever had. There was a huge variety of food from 8-10 different fresh fruit options, 12-15 pastry options, 8-10 fresh cheeses and meat, yogurt, granola, hot eggs, bacon and sausages. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault. We are looking forward to our next trip so we can stay longer. This is the place to stay in Serta."

"Wonderful stay—highly recommended! Upon arrival, the receptionists were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which set a great tone for our stay. The room was perfectly clean and came equipped with an espresso coffee machine, which was a lovely touch. We also really enjoyed the good breakfast. Although we didn't have time to use all the amenities the hotel has to offer, like the spa and the outdoor pool, we had a fantastic experience. We will definitely return if we are back in the area!"
