Family Vacation

Plenty of room for 3 couples and a child. Everyone enjoyed the accommodations. Balcony is good size with very nice and comfortable patio furniture.

Very nice condo

Very nice condo with a great view. We would have preferred more balcony chairs with footrests as opposed to the 4 highback chairs & high table - - guests can better optimize the ocean view.

Great stay for the whole family!

Our family recently stayed 5 nights in the unit. It was myself, my husband, our 10 month old son, and three grandparents. It exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and comfortable even for 6 of us with huge closets. The view was absolutely amazing. Breathtaking, really. While it wasn't necessarily my taste, the decor was nicer than I expected. I don't think the photos do it justice. My only real complaint is that the furniture in the living area was sort of big - cutting the room in half a bit and not allowing for much open space for infant play. I would have also loved some more lounge-y chairs on the balcony. As far as the property goes, it was great. The layout allows for super close access to the elevators from both the units and parking. It also didn't seem like the elevators were ever too terribly busy. The pool was gorgeous, and the included beach set up was great. Although all the buildings in Destin seem to have this problem, the chairs are set up super close to one another, and when busy, there are multiple rows, so if you end up in the back row, your access to the ocean is sort of compromised, which is definitely less than ideal. I don't know what a solution to this would be other than spacing out the first row and setting it back a little further from the ocean. All in all, though, it was absolutely wonderful, and I would highly recommend the unit and the property! Thank you so much for making our first family vacation great!

Nice upper floor unit, quiet, newer furnishings

A few things to note: 1) reserve your umbrella on the beach AS SOON AS THE RESERVATION WINDOW OPENS or you will end up at the tail end of the beach umbrellas next to the public beach strip and other beach goers will put their private umbrellas in front of your view there.. or you end up in the 2nd row of umbrellas. Note that pop ups are not allowed. 2) the master is the only beach view bedroom. The other 2 have city views. 3) the internet is pretty spotty especially in the master bedroom. Overall, the unit is great - tall ceilings, clean, linens and towels were in excellent condition... the glassware was well stocked. Knives not very sharp, glad we brought our own kitchen knife. The fridge had a water dispenser in the door and there was a separate ice maker next to the dishwasher so ice was easy to come by. I would not come back only because the umbrellas on the beach were so very close together and it felt a bit crowded, even when our assigned umbrella did move away from the public beach access strip.

Great condo/Great location/Great service

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at W1703. Beautiful condo with many extras such as ice maker, and a closet with two large coolers and beach items. We love the fact we had a stoplight to make access to and from the unit a breeze. When our coffee pot had a problem the staff at Compass Resorts immediately brought us a brand new one. We would recommend this unit and Compass Resorts to anyone traveling to Destin.
