We had the best time staying in this oasis! Everything was perfect and we even had beach accessories to take with us. We love this neighborhood so much and love how close the beach access was. We loved a great lunch and popsicle from Camille’s. The bed was so comfy and the kitchen and fridge was nice to have as well.

Great location

The house is located within easy walking distance to several beaches, restaurants, and Destin Commons. It is a great small house that was clean and had everything to enjoy both our time there and at the beach. The host was very easy to work with and even approved us extending our stay on short notice. The neighborhood is quiet at night and the person staying at the main house was very private and we felt comfortable chilling in the pool.

Perfect Anniversary Getaway !

A great place for a couple. The private pool was clean and refreshing. The location was excellent! Many great restaurants and necessary shopping near by. Although it rained most of our stay, the short walk to the beach made it very nice when we did go. Very private setting and everything we needed was provided.

Great little cottage

We loved staying here, close to everything and so peaceful and quiet. The pool was amazing and I had issues locking the door and sent a message that was answered in minutes. Great place to stay.. I highly recommend!

We loved the cottage and the neighbor. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. It was close to the beach, restaurants we wanted to try and it had everything we needed for our trip. We would love to come back and I already have recommended the cottage because it was so great.

Nice little getaway

The salty pearl was the perfect little comfy and cozy spot for me and my husband to relax for a week and celebrate our 1 yr wedding anniversary! The place was clean and the owner had every little thing you would think to bring on vacation with you! Everything was perfect!

Anniversary trip

My fiancé and I booked this cottage for an anniversary trip and we absolutely loved it. Property managers were super fast to respond if we had any questions! The cottage was just a walk away from the beach and in such a nice area—we were close to all kinds of shopping. The pool was so nice to come back to after a day at the beach. We will definitely be back!

Anniversary getaway

We had a great time celebrating our Annniversary in the carriage house. It was very clean, private and in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. Because of the building that are on the beach putting up rope to keep people from in front of their building, it left very little room for people to access the beach. But having the pool to use was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great private, clean and cozy getaway

My first impression was how cute and clean feeling the cottage was. Decor had a nice beachy feel to it. Everything I needed was available for use. Beach was an easy 2 block walk away and there were plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Pool was very clean, warm and private. Owner (Lisa) was so pleasant and kind. Management team (Bruce) was very responsive to my questions. This was a perfect fit for me and would be a great getaway for couples. Thank you Lisa and Bruce!

Great couple's retreat

The Salty Pearl is a great spot for couples. It's just enough space and is a great, central location for activities around Destin and Santa Rosa. It's not fancy, but has everything you need. It's clean and nicely decorated. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen has the basics you need for vacation cooking. As other reviewers have said, having a private pool is REALLY NICE. This is something my husband and I have made a point to look for in a rental and it definitely contributed to our decision to stay here. We had not been to Destin before so we didn't realize just how central the Pearl is. It's about ten minutes to the Destin boardwalk and about 25 minutes to Santa Rosa. Publix is just three blocks away, along with many restaurants, a movie theater, and shopping. It's an easy walk to the beach, though be aware that if you want to stay at the beach all day, Shirah beach is mostly reserved for people who stay at the condo's on the beach. You'll need to drive a little (maybe a mile) to get to an open, public beach. The only bummer about the Pearl is that it backs up to a parking lot and on the other side of the parking lot is the back of retail shops and restaurants. It's nice that there aren't houses right behind you, but every morning at 4am trash trucks come to get trash. It didn't wake me up but it woke my husband every morning. I still recommend this place! It's hard to find a place for just two people and the Pearl with its private pool is just right.
