"This was an amazing lodge to stay while we travelled around Tongariro National Park. The owners are very friendly and want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would HIGHLY recommend staying in this hidden gem. If I ever come back I will most certainly stay here again. Also, their breakfast was outstanding. "

"Great budget location for exploring and hiking the park. Kitchen gets busy and was missing spoons (common issue in shared kitchens- we had our own so it wasn’t a problem, somewhat dated and mostly clean. Liked the easy self check-in as well. Not a rowdy or loud hostel- we stayed here with our kids in a family room and had a great sleep and stay."
