Only stayed for one night. Staff were great. Property was dated, cobwebs in bedroom on ceiling, furniture old and in need of up dating. Radiator in bathroom clipped quite a bit. Lovely fireplace in lounge area, would have been better if it was on. Would have felt cosy, as the weather outside was awful.

Superb service and hotel
We stayed at this hotel for one night, the service was superb, the excellent staff were so attentive and helpful. Beautiful room, warm and cozy, excellent shower and very comfortable bed. We will definitely be staying again.

We liked this hotel and the staff were super. Bedrooms a little tired but comfortable. A minor point was the cold dining room. Even so, we would stay there again.

We had a good experience and would definitely stay there again. If coming by train, schedule a taxi ahead of time - there’s a long walk up a steep hill(which isn’t fun if you have much luggage).

Unlike many hotels it has a charming character and the staff were uniformly very nice. Dinner menu varied enough and breakfast was excellent. A little warm at night and stronger extractor needed in bathroom. Met all other expectations.

Leewood is a delightful Hotel only 10 minutes walk from the Pavilion Gardens, Opera House and Crescent. The restaurant serves good food and the hours will accommodate early starters and late risers. Rooms spacious and we'll appointed, for the price it reflects good value and we would go back.

Comfort in Buxton
Excellent service and really enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were always superb quality, but dinners were somewhat variable. Great wine list too

Fantastic staff.
A couple of minor issues with the room on check in but the staff went above and beyond to rectify it quickly. All of the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were polite and attentive. The hotel and some of the rooms are currently being refurbished; we stayed in one of the superior rooms which hadn’t been refurbished and it was a little tired. The size of the room was good and it was bright and airy. The floorboards in our room and neighbouring room were creaky and noisy and unfortunately the movement from the neighbouring room kept us wake during the night. This is the only negative part of what was otherwise a lovely stay.

3 night stay after Christmas
We booked a 3 night stay on the first day of opening after boxing day so the hotel was quiet. However the warmth, friendliness' of the staff was in abundance. The hotel is old but the rooms especially the ensuite was new and spacious, food at breakfast and the restaurant was very good and parking free

Enjoyable weekend break in Derbyshire
Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff that offer a good service. We had a pleasant room with a nice view over the front of the hotel. The breakfast was good. Parking was easy. Well located with a variety of nice restaurants within walking distance and perfect location to enjoy the peak district. Ideal for a weekend stay.
