Mountainview Boathouse Apartment.

LOCATION: 4 miles from Delta Junction city center.

This apartment is attached to a boathouse with a partial view of the Alaska Range on a wooded lot with nice walking trails. It is situated on the lot next to where the owners reside. The apartment has one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one bathroom. The unit has a fully stocked kitchen with stove, microwave and a full sized refrigerator. A futon in the living area converts to a double bed if needed. The apartment has a small fully enclosed covered porch for bug free enjoyment. In the summer, two provided cots can be placed in this covered porch if needed. A flat screen TV with DVD library is available for entertainment. There is no cable or Wi-Fi provided, but free internet is available at the local library. The apartment is equipped with a small capacity washer/dryer unit.

The apartment fits 4 comfortably, however because we do have the two cots available to sleep in the covered porch in the summer, travelers of 6 are welcome to stay if they are comfortable with "cot sleeping". There is no extra cost for the additional two people.

Note concerning "no Wi-Fi". If your phone provider has coverage in the Delta Junction area, you can use your phone as a Hot Spot in order to get internet access for a laptop. AT&T has great coverage in this area.

Great place to stay for the weekend

Everything was very nice and in order. There was extra things that would have been very handy with a long stay. Very light the place had everything we need and was a comfortable place to stay.

Aurora Get Away

The location was excellent for us. We wanted a small town away from Fairbanks. The mountains were easily accessed, and Delta Junction had everything we needed.The apartment was just the right size for us and very comfortable and well appointed. We will come back here again.

Great for short/long-term stays in Delta!

The property is maintained in great shape with plenty of space and amenities for longer stays. The location is great on a quiet street on top of a hill with views of the mountains. Owners are very responsive and accommodating and nearby in case of any issues. I've had many customers stay here for aurora viewing and one of my employees and they have all enjoyed their stay.

Incredible views

I was here for work. The cabin has incredible views and my cell reception was fair. Not good enough to use for my laptop though. The no wifi is the only downside. Though I can't imagine many people coming to the area for work.It is a cozy cabin with everything you need. The hosts are incredibly responsive and helpful. The views when everything is snow covered are incredible.

Great host and boat house

The hostess was easy to reach and was very nice. it is a very cute and comfortable boat house. It had everything I needed. Extra pillows, blankets and towels. Washer dryer. Perfect location that’s minutes from town. I will for sure stay there next time I’m in town if it’s available:)

Perfect Pit Stop

We only stayed one night at Barbara’s place but I wish we had stayed another night to explore the area more because it was really beautiful around the property. We were in the middle of our 3 week camping road trip and stayed at Barbara’s place for one night to refuel, shower, and do laundry, and it was exactly what we needed! Thanks, Barbara!

Seclusion and privacy, quiet

Great value; we came to escape Texas heat and it worked! Hiking trails on the property are very peaceful. My T-mobile hotspot worked great to connect laptop to the Net. Host was right on it when power went out temporarily. Big Delta brewery is the place for lunch or just relax with a craft beer.

Cozy Gem

Place was everything we expected. We got into area later than expected so didnt get to really explore much that was offered at this property but alot of thought went into it. My only recommendation would be putting in a sill plate for bottom of the porch screen door. Currently the mosquitoes are able to come in from under door so enjoying porch wasnt possible. This Place still deserves the top rating. Would highly recommend and if in area again would stay again. Thanks for your hospitality.

Barbara was a wonderful host! The place was lovely, clean, and cozy! I unfortunately was delayed due to weather and Barbara kindly refunded me for the days I couldn't make it. It was a really nice thing for her to do because as not obligated to do that. I can't recommend this place enough!

A great property and a great hostess. Close to Mt McKinley (Denali) National Park and its associated retail tourist strip center; and the Totem Inn restaurant in Healy is a relatively inexpensive sandwich, pasta, and pizza spot. We highly recommend this property.
