We had a wonderful stay. Our stay was a very busy weekend, doing the wedding cake and flowers. because one of our daughter's were getting married in a nearby town. the house was beautiful and spacious enough room for everybody. Will definitely stay again.
Close location to Williams Bay, plenty of room in living room/kitchen for our group of 7. Large backyard space, great fenced in yard for our 2 small dogs. Nice, roomy kitchen to prepare meals and converse. Bedrooms on the smaller size but comfortable. We had a nice stay and Kathy was excellent, so helpful and responsive!

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Met our needs but listing didn't match the property
Positives were proximity to the lake, nice neighborhood and outdoor space, and the overall size. Negatives were lack of cleanliness (mice feces, a significant number of bugs, leftover personal items, dog hair and dust under furniture), safety concerns-especially since advertised as kid friendly (loose pills in kitchen drawer, no smoke alarms downstairs, nails sticking out of floor and on barstool, unlocked basement), and poorly functioning appliances (although the host did advise of the washer issue and texted about refrig issue while there).
The property could use a little TLC and updates, however over all stay was great. Owner was extremely responsive to small issues we had while staying there. Kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels in bathrooms, and paper products to get you started.
Perfect location for exploring Delavan and Lake Geneva area - restaurants, breweries, spa day, finding the best cheese curds in town!!! Had everything we needed including a fenced in backyard for the pups and a very comfy bed! Thanks for everything!
Very nice welcome note received before checkin!
However, property itself needs some improvement...
Just needs more attention, especially need to make sure all lighting works (more light = more welcoming atmosphere), get quieter window AC units, bed comfort, rug, etc. Overall homey place with character.

Delevan lake house
Nice location and a roomy house. I felt the place could have been cleaner. Part of the charge is a $200 plus cleaning fee not sure it is well spent. Outside area was not well taken care of. But we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house for a getaway.

The good location is the best feature - be prepared
It is a short walk to a small park on Delavan Lake, to the Shore Store/Bar, and a ten-minute drive to Downtown Lake Geneva. The house needs some serious cleaning. As soon as I walked into the kitchen, I saw ants everywhere. The dishwasher was left full of dishes that were not washed. Three steps onto the deck and I stepped in dog poop, which I didn't see because of all the leaves, etc. that had fallen from the tree and not been swept. A pressure washer and hose were left in the middle of the deck, we had to clean up several items to avoid tripping and even to be able to walk on the deck. The backyard was not usable for anything other than grilling. The biggest challenge was sleeping. We had a family emergency and had to go home on Sunday, and were going to come back Sunday night, but we did not get sleep Friday or Saturday, so we left Sunday morning and did not return. The beds are not the greatest, but it was so incredibly stuffy. The rooms have window air conditioners, but they were too loud. We thought about opening windows, except in one of the bedrooms, we found two dead and decaying baby birds that had come through the space between the window and the air conditioner. It was a horrible, decaying mess that we had to clean up immediately. There were nests by the other air units. It was so uncomfortable that on the second night, I slept on the first-floor couch, but woke up several times because the house is so close to the road. We did request a credit and were given 56
We had a wonderful time with friends and family and it was great for the dogs too! No property manager or host to get a hold of unfortunately so we were a little confused checking in and we hope we checked out properly. We only had email that nobody responded to. We did love the property though and have stayed at other VRBOs so we followed the standard procedure.
