“Up The Creek” Cabin

This cabin is tucked away and offers privacy on 12 acres to explore with a large covered front porch overlooking your private Native trout stream. Only 4.5 miles to Blue Ridge Parkway, “Up The Creek” is centrally located close to Boone, West Jefferson, Wilkesboro and Blowing Rock. The property has hiking trails, crystal clear creek for swimming and a nice deck built on creek with grill, also fire pit. Great getaway if peace and tranquility is what you seek but still close enough to Explore surrounding towns.

Great weekend get away!

Lovely cabin

The cabin was set deep in the woods yet convenient to Boone. It was charming and tastefully decorated. We were cozy and warm despite the cold and enjoyed our stay.

Perfect away cabin

Up The Creek

We had such a peaceful stay at Up The Creek and Renee was the perfect host. The sound of the creek, the beautiful fall colors and the fall flowers that greeted us when we walked in the cabin are the memories that we brought home with us after our stay in this lovely cabin.

Great stay in Deep Gap

The property was as or better than advertised. We had a fun time enjoying the creek and walking the trail to the waterfall. Cabin was clean and has everything we needed. Location is a really good base location if you want to have some privacy, but have access to town. We would definitely recommend and say here again!

Quiet Retreat

We LOVE this property, this is our 2nd time staying here. House is remote, quaint, homey, clean, well equipped and perfect for our family of 4. We love exploring the creek and having fires outside for s’mores.

Gorgeous Inside and Out

Our whole family enjoyed staying in this beautiful cabin at such a gorgeous location. We hiked to waterfalls on the property and enjoyed unplugging in God’s creation. We look forward to the opportunity to return in the summer. Thank you for being great hosts!

Awesome getaway!

We rent cabins 2 or 3 times a year and have been doing so for many years. This one has been one of our favorites! Great cabin, great location, lots of quiet. Renee has been a great host and has communicated very well. We hope to stay again! Thanks for a great extended weekend!!!

Amazing Cabin

Our stay was an amazing experience. The pictures do not do this place justice! Cabin was extremely clean, and had all the necessary amenities. The creek was beautiful and refreshing. The kids took full advantage of tubing during our stay. Owner was very welcoming, and ensured we had everything we needed. Definitely will return next year!

Just an Awesome place to Get Away

Me and the boys went here for a boys weekend while mom was with friends. Had such a great time! The Property, House, & River are all amazing. The river walk in both directions are beautiful. Plenty of places to do your own thing while kids do there thing. Host is awesome and will help anyway she can.

Up the Creek is a little honey hole!

This Cabin and setting puts a check in all the boxes. Take away WI-FI - cell service - cell phones and you get a lovely cabin experience and TIME with the ones you love. Can’t get that at the store or online! Will definitely go again and you feel the love from the owners with the materials used and decorated with throughout the cabin.

Perfect Getaway!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It is so beautiful and in the most peaceful location. We spent most of our weekend at the waterfall. It is a short hike, but a fun adventure! My boys (9 & 11) played in the creek for hours. We also loved sitting on the front porch listening to the creek. Beds are very comfortable, cabin very clean, and beautifully decorated. Renee is a wonderful host and she graciously let us arrive early and leave later. My family had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We will most definitely be back again soon!

Down to the creek

Cute new little cabin in the woods! Property is equipped with everything you need for a vacation getaway. Loved sitting on the back deck with a view of the creek. Our dog loved playing in it! It is pretty steep getting down there so use the hiking poles provided! Close to the parkway entrance and about a 25 min drive into Boone. Driveway to the property is curvy and steep. Typical for the mountains though. We hope to come back!

Love this place!

We had the opportunity to have a few days away (while our teenagers were at camp) to stay at “up the creek” cabin. Everything was wonderful from the first morning temp of 55 degrees when we had just left 90 degrees in Atlanta! We were truly able to step out of the rat race feeling and get into Mountain vacation mode immediately. The cabin with its well thought out to the smallest detail and was inviting and comfortable. The location was perfect being quiet and remote but accessible to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Blue Ridge Parkway for restaurants, groceries, shopping, and hiking. The property has a very cool creek which at any age our boys would love(why did it take me so long to find this place?) I also am glad the WiFi was available as it allowed us to be reachable in case of any emergency with our kids. We can’t wait to return with our whole family! Thank you!!

Great Stay in the Mountains

Everything was great. Cabin was very clean and well-equipped. I liked the layout of the cabin and the outdoor space was amazing (huge back porch listening to the stream, fire area etc.) It was nice to have hiking trails on the property especially if you are travelling with a pet that needs some exercise. My dog loved the waterfall hike. Just some info for future travelers, the driveway is steep and curvy. My AWD did great but could be intimidating to some others. You are out in the woods; keep that in mind for food, medicine and supplies. The cabin is built on a hill and the trip down to the stream is steep. None of this bothered me and I thought the place was great but I thought this info would be helpful to future guests. I would definitely come back!

Our stay was one of the best experiences we’ve had. The cabin was beautiful and perfect for our family of 4. The creek was a lot of fun, we visited it every day after our day of adventure in Boone and Banner Elk. The porch was nice for relaxing and listening to the waterfalls. Our host Renee made check in super easy.
