Historic Phelps Mansion; main level Suite #1

This suite is fully contained. All you have to do is arrive and enjoy. The historic Phelps Mansion is full of historic character from the original kitchen cabinets to the hardwood floors throughout the unit. There have been many updates through the rehab process and offers many modern amenities. This unit is a one bedroom with a new Amish bed and very comfortable Queen mattress. Located in the living room are two couches. One is an exceptionally comfortable Queen pull-out sleeper, the additional couch can be used to sleep the 5th guest. The kitchen is stocked with all kitchen wares; dishware, silverware, plates, bowls, pots, pans, bakeware, coffee pot, toaster, and microwave. (Serving for 6) Full size refrigerator and gas stove. Free Wi-Fi & cable. Large flat screen TV. Parking available.

This is a beautiful place, very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. Just a short walk to downtown with lots of restaurants and shops. We would stay there again.

Beautiful, historic property

Stay for Luther Family weekend…AWESOME!

This property, as well as the owners were both fabulous! Off street parking, nice amenities, comfortable HVAC, reliable WiFi, and close to downtown all make this a great option. We’ve been coming to Luther events for the past 5 years as our girls attended Luther and this VRBO location was the absolute best we have stayed at… highly recommended!!!

Great location, quiet get-away

This home is located just a few blocks from the downtown shops and restaurants, an easy walk on quiet streets. Off-street parking was a bonus. The suite is very roomy and extremely clean, durnished with the necessities. We were surprised how quiet the evenings and nights were, very peaceful. In all, a great stay and highly recommended.

The suite is in a historic building and has been nicely updated (kitchen, bath, etc.) while maintaining its historic feel. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Visiting my Mom's home town

We returned to Decorah for my 50th high school reunion and found this historic VRBO to be a wonderful property. It is within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants and Phelps Park. The unit is comfy and well furnished and the WiFi is strong. Our hosts were easy to reach and were helpful when our travel plans changed. We'll visit Decorah again and hope to rebook this great apartment.

Cozy and charming place

We loved the apartment! A very charming, cute and cozy place. Two large comfortable couches in the living room and very comfortable bed. The location is very close to the downtown area and Fareway grocery store. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. Our hosts were very responsive to messages and inquiries. My 50th High School Reunion

This is a wonderfully updated historic home situated within walking distance of central Decorah, Phelps Park and other attractions. The unit is comfortable and well-furnished (good WiFi and good coffee!) and the neighborhood is quiet. When we had to make significant adjustments to our travel plans, hosts Bruce and Kaleen were easy to reach and very helpful. We'll certainly be back to Decorah and hope to book this wonderful property for our next visit.
