"Had 2 rooms, booked the 2nd on-site as we had more people in our party than originally planned. Both rooms were unable to use the deadbolt locks, they weren't aligned with the door frame at all which was very concerning and we didn't get much sleep as a result. Hotel was old and needed renovations but it was clean and the staff was very professional and nice. "

"The hotel is a beautiful, historic, and charming. We loved the old doors and carved wood; it was like walking back in time....all beautifully well preserved. The staff was warm and friendly and very welcoming. We ate at both hotel restaurants and the food and service were superb. The disappointment was our room was in need of renovation/updates. It was comfortable, but the walls were heavily stained and in need of painting and the desk chair was worn and the seat cushion had a lump in the center. We also received very old bath linens; one of the towels actually had a hole in the center! There was tape left on the window framing from someone who had previously hung decorations in the room. It did not feel as though enough attention was being given to the in-room experience. We would return, but we did feel the comfort and experience the quality we would expect at a four-star hotel. "

"Very nice stay in a spotless and comfortable room. Front desk greeter Sandy was exceptionally helpful and kind. Hotel is set back from road, quiet and plenty of parking. Two fast food places adjacent to property. Two elevators, although one was out of service. Only negative was skin lotion dispenser empty in our room--hotel is apparently out of it."

"Staff was great. Amenities, not so good. Stay was Sunday to Tuesday -- restaurant was closed that whole time. Dirty, used Q-tip in corner of bathroom, overhead light and fan in bathroom not working, lip of shower between shower pan and bathroom floor was rusty, room heater was loud, TV had no channel guide and no access to apps that I could have logged into. No documentation in room explaining anything. "

"Pros: Nice and helpful staff, easy check in process, decent breakfast, nice decor in lobby and in rooms. Cons: The hotel could really use an upgrade. While the overall look and layout of the hotel is nice, when you take a closer look you really start to notice how shoddy the various repairs are which kinda detracted from the overall experience."
