Cleaning staff left something in bathroom and when I checked the bathroom the floor was filled with ants eating whatever it was in the bathroom The ants were coming from under the tub of the shower. After I cleaned up as many answers I could and flush them it was around 1:30 in the morning and I couldn't get back to sleep I decided not to go to the management because they just put me in another room and I just feel uneasy anyways. I called in the morning early to let them know the problem they did not offer any solution. When I put my complaint in when I was checking out I was not offered a refund nor any compensation for a horrible night's sleep. The breakfast area was nice The lobby was clean my room was not.

The gal at the front desk when we arrived was very kind and helpful. The rooms were clean. The hotel did say it had a exercise area and juccuzi.....there is none...the place where it was supposed to be was closed up and it looked like it was use for storage. Maybe that could be taken off the website since there isn't one available. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Advertising of a spa (hot tub) and there is not one. This hotel was chosen for this reason over another cheaper hotel. Was not disclosed during check in.

Liked the reasonable price, decent place to stay and pets for free, although they wanted to charge me for pet despite what is says on expedia. Their hot tub was out of order, which was unfortunate since I rely on this to get moving again after long car ride...

The hotel was nice overall. Nothing fancy, but a decent place for the night. My only complaint is the fact that they don't have an elevator. It's only 2 floors, but it is not fun carrying lots of luggage upstairs.

Overall this property was okay! The room and the hotel smelled funky and we tried to use air freshener but it just kept coming back. The room was kind of run down with broke tile around the jet tub and mirror in the bathroom was falling apart. But it was clean other than that and quiet! Just wish it had a pool as well. Also spa was not available.

A Couple Days in Huron
The room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. It had a second access door to the parking lot which was really handy. The shower was a little weak and the blow dryer wasn't working, but they brought me a new on immediately.

For it being an older hotel it was very clean and staff was courteous. They are currently updating. Wish I would’ve known the sauna room was closed but I did see they offer an offsite workout facility

If you plan on doing business here, stay far away from this property. I had 3 employees staying at this property for just under a week. The initial stay was for 3 days and then it was extended to a week. I was called on a Sunday by the front desk manager threatening to call the cops on my employees for not coming down to sign paperwork when the rooms were extended earlier that week. He proceeded to tell me that he had called their rooms and they had not responded (they were working) and then told me he had called my office line at 11 p.m. the previous night and couldn’t get a hold of me so he was very frustrated. He also said that he had canceled the prepaid Expedia reservation and expected me to provide him with another credit card for the rooms to be paid for. Sorry, but that’s not my problem either. There was no point in canceling the reservation and since you canceled it, it’s the hotel’s responsibility to contact Expedia to rectify the situation. The entire phone call, this man was rude, unprofessional and threatening. I arranged for my employees to immediately leave the following day and moved to a different hotel who appreciates our business far more than this one does. Especially for anyone in a professional situation like mine, I warn you to stay far away from this property. Worst experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been in business for 15 years. Yikes.

Lobby and room clean though the room showed signs of recent repair to the shower piping in wall. Staff very friendly. Building under renovation. The free breakfast: The hot food (eggs and gravy) was not hot. It was barely warm. The sausages were warm. No butter. Syrup and waffle batter nearly gone. Staff not around to replenish. The cold biscuits that went with the cool gravy were like rocks and unable to be cut. Could not find salt for the eggs. Fridge was not stocked. Beds were comfortable and bathroom clean. I would give the breakfast a rating of 0 (zero), but everything else satisfactory.

This was my second visit to Huron SD and this was the first time at the Best Western (we used a different one last time) it was a lot nicer and cleaner and the price was great! Will definitely stay here again upon my next visit!
