Sunset Creek - Incredible Style & Decor - a true Flagler Beach Hidden Gem!

Looking for a place where you can enjoy everything Flagler has to offer -- then look no more! Our apartment is nestled on the outskirts of Florida's historic "Loop" amidst majestic oaks, magnolias and palm trees and on the edge of Bulow Creek. We sit secluded on three acres of pristine Florida beauty. Enjoy your days relaxing on the dock, fishing, hiking, biking or taking in our gorgeous beaches. We are centrally located between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, less than four miles to the Flagler Pier and Flagler's fabulous beaches. Come enjoy all that Flagler Beach has to offer – not only our fabulous beaches, but also our incredible, peaceful waterways, fabulous trails and scenic drives.

THE SPACE: Living Room/Kitchen, 1Bedroom/1Bathroom.

Our apartment is completely detached from our home and private in every way. Comfortably appointed, warm and cozy. After a busy day of fun, relax in the beautifully decorated living room complete with pull out sofa, flat screen smart TV, cable and internet. Fix your favorite meal in the cozy well-appointed kitchen or BBQ on the grill outside. Sink into the comfy queen size bed dressed with hotel quality linens for a great night's sleep. Relax, refresh, renew and rejuvenate your soul.

Our long driveway sets you up for a beautiful surprise! Once the trees open up you will see a wide open property. Go straight to the first house on your right where your parking is located just outside the French doors. Enter into your spacious 600 sq ft, well equipped, and incredibly comfortable space. The main room is wide open and includes a living space, an eating area and a full kitchen. A short hallway leads you to find a full bath, a separate laundry room, and a bedroom to your left.

Rest will come easy with a view of the gorgeous Old Florida Canopy outside your windows.

Guest Access:
This private apartment is separate from our house and there are no shared spaces. Guests have their own parking and access to the yard, dock, canoe, and kayak.

Interaction with Guests:
While we live on the property, we want your stay to be as private, peaceful and quiet as possible. Just know that we are here to assist you in any way we can.

  • Bulow Creek State Park is a Florida State Park located five miles north of Ormond Beach. It is on Old Dixie Highway, next to the Atlantic Ocean. For more than 400 years, the Fairchild Oak has silently observed the events along Bulow Creek — serving as a noble guard of the area’s magnificent environment. Nearly two centuries ago in 1836, the neighboring Bulow Plantation was destroyed during the Second Seminole War. And still, the Fairchild Oak stands strong. Local legend has it that this majestic oak tree was the site of two deaths. The first was that of James Ormond II, who lived in a house a stone’s throw from the tree and whose body was found under it, his cause of death unknown. The second death is shrouded in even more mystery. Norman Harwood, who purchased the property around 1880, is remembered as a hulking man. Some stories portray him as a cattle farmer, while others cite him as a dry-goods businessman — but most accounts say Harwood was deep in over his head in debt. It’s unclear what happened, but the myths suggest that Harwood, buried in economic turmoil, killed himself under the tree. #oak #Nature

Relaxing & serene spot. Went out on the dock for a couple hrs. Very quiet area. Comfy bed & charming inside & out. Everything you could need. Great hosts. Communicated quickly & friendly. Would most definitely stay again.

Birthday Weekend Getaway

My partner and I had a lovely weekend getaway here. It was great to have access to a dock for some private fishing, and the location was close enough that a drive to the beach for dinner was only 10 or 15 minutes. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and the nautical decorations were adorable. Definitely looking forward to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely spotless apartment. The dock was a wonderful place to sit at the end of the day and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the river. Very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our time there. Hope to vacation there again next year.

Adorable and quiet

Beautiful property and a very well maintained cottage. We enjoyed walking around the quiet neighborhood and just sitting on the dock. The cottage is as adorable as the pictures show. Everything was exceptionally clean. We enjoyed our stay and Greg was a very gracious host.

36th Wedding Anniversary

The place is absolutely beautiful! So immaculately clean! My husband is an avid fisherman. He loved fishing off the beautiful dock and we enjoyed the sunsets. We were able to relax and chill! We can’t wait to go again! It’s old Florida at its very best! Greg and his wife are super sweet and kind! Beautiful place and beautiful people!

Beautiful property, but since it was someone's home, we didn't feel comfortable exploring. Just a personal preference for us. We saw the lake and dock from a distance. The "cottage" attached to their garage. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, fully stocked, and completely comfortable in every way.

Woodsy retreat a stone's throw from the beach

This is no ordinary apartment. It feels more like a beautiful home. The photos are great, but it is fantastic in real life. Great care has been taken to put together an incredible space that contains everything one needs to ensure a comfortable stay. It is hard to fully describe the peace and quiet you'll find here. Greg and Denise are gracious and attentive hosts. We truly enjoyed the grounds, it was like a nature preserve with the gardens and wildlife all around. Birds, squirrels, butterflies, etc. I highly recommend, but please don't book "my week".
