I love that it was on the beach. I love that it had an indoor poor and outdoor pools. I loved the pool bar. What was disappointing was the limited parking due to the parking garage being closed. They were short on linen every time I went to the front desk to get linen so I had to go to the store and purchase some so that we could bathe. The restaurant was closed for maintenance. The elevator near our room wasn’t working. I’ve been to this hotel several times and loved it but this visit was very disappointing.

This hotel should be closed down. We got our first room and the pullout couch was the nastiest, dirtiest , rotten mattress I have ever seen. I do have pictures and like to show them to you. The front desk people did not care about the conditions of the room. We went to the front desk and they changed rooms for us and charged us an upgrade fee. When getting to the second room the pullout couch has an air mattress. I called the front desk to see if they have an air pump to pump up the mattress. They told me very rudely that there are no air mattresses in this facility. I told ask her if I should take a picture of it and bring it to her since I was looking at it. She send a manager up and he did not know what to do. He offered to move us again. We declined Ed since it was late now and we needed to sleep. My son slept on the pullout couch as is. The light at the door was flickering so fast that we could not use it at all. Again no one cared about it. The hotel also does not have pool towels to offer and no more breakfast. Very very dissatisfied with the staff and the hotel.

Pros: No bed linen for sofa bed, spoke with nice lady and requested and received quickly. She sent maintenance to bring them to us. Burger and drinks were good from bar. Cons: Kitchen closed early (7pm) on Saturday although site says 8pm. No bath cloths. Requested them, was told someone would be bringing them. Didn’t receive them and called back 20 mins later & was told by a different, very rude lady that they didn’t offer that service and if we wanted them we had to come get them. I asked about housekeeping and she repeated “We don’t offer that service.” My reservation clearly states that they do. So, my Husband went to get them and was told by the SAME lady that said we had to come get them that there aren’t any. The next day, I request pool towels. I was told they are being washed and to call back so she has a chance to check on a time with housekeeping of when they’d be ready. I call back 30mins later and I’m told that they’re none available and there aren’t any gonna be given. Just a mess to sum it up! Resort too expensive gi not have basic amenities!

The Parking was a large issue. Finding a place to safely park. they need someone there to guide the parking. people would park and take up 2 parking spaces. they have a parking garage but it is not usable, so they were making use of an empty lot. however persons were parking blocking entrances or taking up 2 spaces.

Another disappointment 😡
The rooms are not worth the payment we’re charged. The floors are stained and the beds didn’t feel like pillow tops mattresses. I’m tired of paying for crap. They didn’t give enough towels for our family, so I walked down to the front desk to get more. She told me I had to bring down the dirty ones before she can give me more. I’m up on the 12th floor🙄. There was crap on the balcony I’m guessing they didn’t have time to clean before we paid for the room. The AC in the living room area did cool the room at all. I won’t stay there again. You would think it would be better for a resort but it wasn’t at all. Very disappointed!!!

This was my first time at this property, and it was a dump. The staff was not very friendly, the lobby was not the best and the room was absolutely the worst. The bed was a slab very hard and under was dirty. We did not have wash cloths in our room and the towels were very dirty. I went to speak with the front desk and the person helping me was not very understanding and tried to talk down to me (which was not happening). I stayed one night to not lose my money and will never stay again.

We checked in and were informed that because engineers found a structural issue with the parking garage we couldn’t park on site they had a lot about 1/2 mile down the road. No biggy safety first. But then my husband pointed out that our room was a few floors above the parking garage which was concerning since they are telling us there is a structural issue. We noticed today when we were swimming this morning that there are several industrial jacks on each side of the building where the parking garage and rooms are helping hold up and or stabilize the building! Um we are born and raised in Florida we are more than aware of what took place in Miami this past year at surfside, how can you allow people to stay here?! Then when my husband was checking out a woman was checking in and informed she could not stay in the room she booked they were sending her down the road because engineers found structural damage!!! Like how did you let us and our kids and all these other families stay all weekend!!! Beyond how unbelievably disturbing this is the hotel itself is so run down and our room was dated and dirty. We wont be coming back to this hotel we will go back to the cove in Ormond where we are always happy and safe!

Check in was horrible. The lady at the front desk was rude. She said I couldn’t check in until 4, it was 3:48. Two gentlemen helped store my food because we were originally told we could check in at 1. The lady said the person I spoke to had no idea what she was talking about. She also talked to a coworker like he was trash. Our room sucked. Super dirty. Reeked of cigarettes. The couch and chair were so dirty. The bathroom shower was mildewy. We didn’t have enough blankets or towels and when we called down they said they had no staff. I couldn’t leave my kids - who were sleeping alone. There were 3 employees that actually were outstanding despite this place being so horrible. The pool was good and beach access was good.

This was a nice stay for new years. Due to renovations the inside restaurant was closed. The bar by the pool however filled in nicely. Some things are in need of an upgrade but you can see them working on it. Staff was excellent.

The room felt dirty. Mold in shower. I became very congested almost immediately after entering the room. You could feel the mattress coils. The curtains blocked the AC. Luckily it was December or it would have been miserable. Electrical plugs looked outdated. Electrical Plugs don’t fit good. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is a fire waiting to happen. Will not be staying again.

The hotel was beautiful inside and out. I will definitely be staying there again. The hotel smelled good; it didn’t smell musty. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The overall layout of the room was very nice. The beds were comfy. Overall 10/10 for me.

On arrival desk clerk less than friendly- did not offer any insight to amenities, food service, snacks, parking, - gladly took my credit card- reminded me of deposits etc- did not offer any insight to cleaning services, or anything good about property. Room was well furnished- furniture old but plentiful- kitchen well supplied with utensils and dishes, refrig huge!! Shower old- but bathroom looked as if some updates had been finished. Bed fine, linens limited, air conditioner worked well, and beach access was wonderful. I may go again but specify I want ocean view- I was sure I had reserved the beach view but was not given that- partial view with a balcony that was 2 foot by? But we went to see and experience ocean which that met our needs!

Check- in was great, the guy was really helpful. The carpet was fifty, the water in the sink wouldn't get hot. The shower water was warm and pressure was low. The sofas needed to be thrown out! I was shocked how nasty the floors were!

Beautiful hotel in need of a little remodeling
I love staying near the ocean. The hotel amenities are amazing. Staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel room was adequate. Clean but obviously in need of repair. the salt water has eroded the metal on appliances. The door does not open properly. It sticks. The carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced, you can feel and smell the moisture. These small issues did not take away from an amazing stay though. I have a full size refrigerator and 2 burner stove. All appliances I need to cook in room and to keep snacks on hand for kiddos. Overall I truly enjoyed the stay.

We made our checkin at 11:40pm. We got to our room at 12 midnight. At 3:30am we were woken up by a fire alarm and had to evacuate the building. Allowed back into our rooms at 4:30am. The room needed to be updated but it was clean! Check in and out was easy! Extra fees for property use...not good. No restaurant or bar on site....as advertised.

We were so very disappointed. We stayed at DBR before Covid and before the two hurricanes. We loved it. We will never stay again. The sofas were, absolutely, filthy. The springs were coming out of the mattress. It's definitely not a 3 star hotel any longer. I'd say I'm generous if I give it a 2. we were completely disappointed.

Was here for a festival and the location and area were good. Amazing views and great indoor and outdoor pools. Highly recommend this place has a home vibe and cozy. Great environment.

The staff was really nice and the area was great. Loved staying by the beach but I was so disappointed at our room. Everything was old, in need of renovations and some parts were moldy. And we happen to come across other rooms that looked a lot better so we got the worst? Next time I’m in the area I’ll stay elsewhere.
