For generations, Daylesford has been a majestic retreat and the heart of Australia’s Spa Country. Now, we invite you to experience the essence of its history with the introduction of Mount Stuart House, a commanding landmark residence and Daylesford luxury accommodation choice.

The space

Built circa 1860, this elegant historic house stands proudly in the historic church precinct, weaving together rich history, design, and a rare sense of stature. This is not merely a house; it is a meticulously preserved estate, perfectly suited for a luxury group retreat or large family escape.



Our Country House pays homage to our First Peoples & the rich heritage of Swiss Italian migrants who once settled in this breathtaking region.



Mount Stuart House has been curated to offer grand yet inviting spaces for shared escape and conversation. The expansive layout offers exceptional comfort and flexibility.



The house features four beautifully proportioned bedrooms, each complete with its own ensuite bathroom, providing space and privacy for every guest.



Gather in the formal lounge or separate library, both featuring magnificent open fireplaces. The home is kept perfectly cosy with premium hydronic heating throughout.



Our kitchen is a dream for group catering, equally suited to intimate dinners or larger, celebratory gatherings.



Enjoy the sun-drenched, north-facing garden terrace, set within a generous allotment of established gardens. It's the ideal space for morning coffee or evening cocktails.

Our Country House offers boutique hotel-style accommodation, which sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 private rooms. No matter how many people you book for, you will have exclusive use of the house.



Our house offers 4 ‘democratic’ private bedrooms, both with similar proportions and features, and each with separate bathrooms.



Booking for 1-2 guests means access to 1 x king-sized guest room (3 bedrooms will remain closed).

Booking for 3-4 guests means access to 2 x king-sized guest rooms (2 bedrooms will remain closed).

Booking for 5-6 guests means access to 3 x king-sized guest rooms (1 bedroom will remain closed).

Booking for 7-8 guests means access to 4 x king-sized guest rooms (All bedrooms will be open).
