Romantic Woodland Retreat w/ Hot Tub, Fire Table

"We had a wonderful stay despite the weather not cooperating. Cabin was immaculate, kitchen was very well stocked, hot tub was great even though we couldn't use as much as we would have liked. Our hosts were terrific. The setting is quiet, peaceful and private. I'd give 10 stars if I could."

"Barge Inn was outstanding. It was immaculately clean and very well equiped. The view is stunning(including eagles and osprey winging past at eye level!!!) and we just wanted to stay put and watch from that glorious cathedral style screened in porch! Our hosts were very responsive to our questions and were generous with their time in telling us all about the history of the area and great suggestions about area attractions that fit our interests. We can't say enough about our appreciation of our stay there!"

"Me and my buddies going to Fishing trip every single year. This place was awesome for that., I also took advantage of the Pool Table and had plenty of Places sleep. Everything was comfortable and the place was pretty clean. We went very far out in the middle of nowhere to get away from people and everything that could affect our Fishing. We had one thing disrupt us during the trip, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. The owner’s daughter stayed in the house next-door and the great fishing spot that is connected to our house was taken over for majority of the last day. We only had one boat with us this trip so most of the time the guys would fish off that dock. The kids were being kids, but of course that’s what we went out of town to be separated from. And since there was three docs for three houses, it would’ve been easier to be able to use our own. They politely came over and asked to use it, but I mean, what do we say. We said sure cause we are gentlemen and family men. Lots of kid screaming and that dock was a playhouse for 6-7 hours. Other than that, the fishing was tough this week, but it’s not always like that.. The house was set up perfect for all the guys we ended up enjoying ourselves. The host got back with me at last minute. I was scared we couldn’t get into the spot. But she did follow up before we left town. There was a few things broken when we arrived. I took pictures and sent to the host. Lake was killer, house was beautiful , lots of parking too."

"Over-all the house was great. There is a couple of minor things that could be done to make it better. The front porch and back deck need to be cleaned. The front porch needs a leaf blower taken to it and the deck needs to be power washed along with the back of the house. Also, inside the house, the sliding door from the living room to the deck is broken and will not open. You have to go through the screened in portion of the deck to go outside. Nothing big, just little things. The garage has a tree's worth of leaves in it and the inflatable flotation devices were left on the floor along with two air pumps. Almost ran over them. The house itself is awesome. This is the second year we have rented it for our golf trip. You cannot ask for more room! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean, the pool table is nice, home theater for rainy days, we used the gas grill for cooking out, etc. We love this place. Just a little TLC would go a long way."

"What a wonderful time we had hanging out at this property for an extended weekend. Peaceful and secluded, this home backs up to the shoreline and has incredible views from the back deck. Inside is warm and cozy with plenty of room and a nice, big fireplace. Kitchen is well stocked and the bathrooms have everything you need. The homeowners, who live close by, were engaging and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We caught fish off of the boat ramp, encountered deer, turkeys, lizards, squirrels and a plethora of birds and watched several barges floating down the river. Round it all out with a fire pit and a peddle boat and we had one relaxing weekend. Husband Greg is already talking about going back and we just got home!"

"Fantastic property and the view of the lake is gorgeous from the back deck. The property was clean and has everything you need to enjoy a weekend at the lake with plenty of room. The shared boat ramp is about 200 yards away on a gravel area and is convenient to both Leatherwood and Paris Landing marinas. The owners are very responsive. We are planning to return next year."
