Very good stay

The appartment is perfect for a calm stay in Montserrat, and the owner makes it very easy. Beds are good, kitchen pretty well equiped, the terrasse is perfect and everything was very clean and in perfect state. We also rented the car, which was very useful. The location of the appartment is also handful, 50m from a supermarket.

Lovely apartment, great histess

We were met at the airport by Lyandra who also rented us a jeep for our stay. She took us around the area to show us a nearby grocery, gas station and several great places to dine in Little Bay, just a 5 minute drive away. There is a lovely covered outdoor patio, soothing breezes and in a quiet neighborhood . Everything you need is there or nearby and you have a very warm, knowledgeable and welcoming hostess.

For the adventure traveler

Neat, tidy 2-bedroom apt, in lower level of house in which owner occupies top floor. I visited Montserrat to explore the northern half of the island, run trails, and experience living with the local population. Since I'm an avid runner and run typically 2-4 hours daily during adventure traveling did not rent a car. I chose a location close to the airport, to allow exploring the west, north and east parts from this apt. The owners (Sheldon, Janeil, Lyandra) grow a variety of tropical fruits and vegetables in their back yard which they're happy to discuss and share. However, there is no back yard for children to romp around in, so that families with children will need to rent a car to explore other areas. The neighborhood, like many locations in the Caribbean, have multiple chickens that create a lively atmosphere. Several chained dogs in the yards surrounding the apt occasionally make a bit of noise, but I always slept well at night. Recommend this apt for adventure travelers. Note that there is no warm water in kitchen, but there is warm water in bathroom for showering. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, oven with gas range, and hot water electric pot for coffee, etc. I found the owners very pleasant and informative ... they made sure that I was well taken care of. Sheldon sold me some wahoo fish sections that I cooked, and Janeil made a delicious meal for me, of pumpkin rice and fish.
