Das Marchenhaus or "the fairytale house" is a fabulous germanic/swiss style chalet. This charming duplex is spacious, free flowing, decorated tastefully, and offers tons of comfort. Das Marchenhaus offers 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths with the delightfully large loft on the third level. Located conveniently off of Timberline Road, you can walk or drive to Timberline Mountain by Perfect North. This lovely ski chalet with large stone fireplace is tucked inside a wooded property only minutes from the surrounding attractions including Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center, Blackwater Falls State Park, Whitegrass, Dolly Sods Wilderness and trail access in several locations nearby if you want to hike or bike directly out your door. Das Marchenhaus is just a short drive to the quaint and quirky towns of Davis and Thomas for your shopping and gallery enjoyment. In summer months: relax on a wooded back deck. An easy walk through the woods and parking lot will land you at the base of the Timberline Mountain ski slopes and trails. Sleeps 8. Easy to Access all Winter long.
