"This is a really nice place to stay for a few days with lots of nice walks nearby. Really enjoyed the Sunday roast special in the restaurant although the breakfast was a bit mediocre "
"We had the most lovely stay over three nights. While the rooms might be dated, they are immaculately clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It would be great to see the restaurant open. "
"Stayed as couple with a 3-yo, two weeks in winter.Kitchen: clean and modern. Dish soap, salt, pepper, canola spray, tea, coffee, UHT milk provided. Some plastic baby plates too. All appliances work well. Only things we wish were included was an oven mitt and a dish scrubbing brush.Dining/Lounge: spacious, great views. Couches comfy. Matches for fire provided. Found bags of compressed logs on back verandah.TV modern, HDMI ports.Heat from fire will rise to the high ceiling/mezzanine bedroom above so you'll still want to dress warmly in the lounge on a cold night.Mezzanine master bedroom: spacious, cosy. Excellent mattress (medium firm, no weird dents or sagging, quiet frame). Privacy blinds for windows - these will not block light so in summertime if you want to sleep in, bring a sleep mask. If you have the fire going, expect it to reach 23C up here due to heat rising, even on 4C night.Bathroom: bath spacious, hot water rapid. Shower needs TLC and has poor drainage, we found it best to mop up water splashes in the area after use to keep the space pleasant. Secondary bedroom: kid bed has good mattress. Queen bed mattress is saggy in places with creaky springs. Blinds do not fully cover window or block light which made toddler daytime nap more challenging. Open windows during day to encourage air flow. Toddler loved glowing stars on celling.Garden: beautiful, many kangaroo and duck poos so wear boots you can leave at the door. Easy walk to Gloucester Tree. "
