Cozy Riverside Cottage with Canoes, Terrace & Garden in Charming Damvix

Gîte converted into former stables, adjoining the owner's home and another gîte (H85G009827), on a 1,200 m² enclosed property, located in the village of Damvix, in the heart of the Marais Poitevin. The gîte directly overlooks the Conche des Oisiliers (small private waterway), close to the Sèvre Niortaise and the Damvix pier. This single-story house consists of a living/dining room/kitchen (wood stove), a shower room/WC, 2 bedrooms (1 double bed) (2 single beds). Wifi. Smart TV. Outside: private terrace overlooking the Conche des Oisiliers (garden furniture, deckchairs, barbecue) and adjoining shaded green space. Shared with the other gîte: pétanque court, car parking. Rowboats, canoes, and pedal boats are available free of charge at any time (2 rowboats, 2 canoes, 1 pedal boat), with life jackets and maps. Fishing is available on site. Shops are available (bakery, convenience store, butcher, honey house, pharmacy, doctor). Small market on Wednesdays. Public swimming pool open summer afternoons in Benet (13km). Lake Xanton-Chassenon is 19km away. Scarecrow Festival in Damvix starting in May (fun, signposted 3km walking trail, lasting 1 hour).
Bicycle rentals are available at the DAMVIX pier (10m away).
On site: the TCHOU TCHOU tourist train in the afternoon. The Damvix Museum and its exhibition. Nearby: the Abbeys, the Maison de la Meunerie, the Faymoreau mines, a visit to the Ste Christine farm...

Découverte Venise Verte

Super séjour. Très bon accueil de nos hôtes. Tout au long de nos vacances échanges tres agréables avec des petits conseils sur les choses à voir et faire. Logement confortable et très bien équipé. De plus le Nymphéa avec sa terrasse, vue sur canal est bien situé, au calme. Pedalos et barques à disposition, un vrai plus. Nous recommandons vivement.
