We stayed 2 nights. Our hosts were very welcoming, the room clean and had everything one would need; refrigerator, microwave, snacks, drinks, and cable TV. The breakfast was fantastic - more food than one could eat in one sitting and very tasty. The property is beautiful - lots of trees and flowers. it is conveniently close to the square.
What a fantastic find for me and my daughter! We came into town to visit relatives and found this amazing gem of a B+B. Debbie and Gary were amazing hosts, the breakfasts and conversation with them and the other guests will go in memory books. They made us feel right at home! This place is super close to the downtown square, the guidebook in the rooms are great for giving ideas on all there is to do in McKinney. It may be rated a 3.5 Star - but it was a 5-Star experience! A must stay!!
Gary and Debbie were outstanding hosts. They made us feel like it was our home. I guarantee you will not find nicer B&B hosts.
The room was very elegant, the house was historical with character but also well-maintained, parking was easy, and food was good (though coffee was a little weak).
Would definitely recommend to family/stay there again.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Red Gate Inn in McKinney, TX on business this week. What a lovely respite!
The 100 year old home is beautifully decorated yet your bedroom and bath provide nothing but comfort, charm and modern day convenience. Internet access was perfect. Your hosts are lovely folks and the breakfast provided was Gourmet which I enjoyed on the second floor sitting porch.
