Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Total dump
Unfortunately our experience at this place was a total nightmare. Didn’t get any checkin details until a couple hours before check in. Upon arrival our Initial observations/concerns-
Shattered glass directly outside the back door
Slight urine odor inside
Garage door boarded up (seemed creepy)
Backyard not kept well and filled with burs that get stuck in the dogs fur and paws
Back door is not secure- does not have top latch (double door)
Backyard gate was not secure – we had to reinforce it
Downsides:
Small wash/dryer
No dishwasher
No garbage disposal
Super small living area
Next observations/concerns-
One Outlet in master bedroom does not work
Noticed that the garage is being prepped as a separate living unit – this was not advertised or disclosed.
Curtains have gaps and don’t seem to provide full privacy
Clogged/slow draining sinks
Neighbor stated that murder suspect arrested right across the street the same week we checked in
Zoom Quick Mart has a resident drug dealer. The drug dealer asked my husband for money to buy a beer. When my husband said no, he said he was going to “punk his truck”.
The refrigerator constantly clicking (water line trying to pull?)
Final issues-
Construction started taking place in the garage. Hammering and pounding took place all-day. Could not believe they had construction going on in the home and tried to say it was a separate residence. Come to find out from the neighbors that the garage had a sewage leak because they were trying to plumb it for a sink and toilet but the garage is not meant to have a toilet. This is why the house smelled like pee and poop when we got there. And they were having the floors changed out.
We decided to end our stay early because this presented a health concern. Upon clearing out our things came across termites. This was place was a total dump. Not suitable for long term stays or a family.
