Great place to stay. A bit warm still at night. Some furniture looks like it came from a second hand store but usable. Love the garden tub. Love the charm.

The property is the historic former headquarters of Mobil Oil Co. Its location is in the heart of downtown Dallas near many restaurants and close to the area's local rail transit. My only problem was the room's HVAC. When it came on it did so with a bang that would wake me up.

Very disappointed in the stay at Magnolia in downtown Dallas. The first room we were placed in had spiked bedding as well as several cracked and shattered tiles on the bathroom floor. Also had missing grout which made the floor rough and jagged to walk on. Second room was better but still older, dark, mismatched and worn furniture. The photos on the website are not representative of the rooms in any way. All the food options were closed. There is ice on 1 floor out of 27. No transportation and it is near an area that has outdoor parties on Saturdays and Sunday nights with music blaring until as late as 12:30 AM. Many other hotels nearby are the same price and are far far nicer. I would not recommend this property and I would never stay here again.

They need to get staff that can speak English cause the valet and maintenance personnel were very hard to communicate with. Otherwise our stay was great other than the restaurant was closed for remodeling!

Loved that it was walking distance from shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Downfall was no parking provided and no validation for paid parking garage. Overall was a great experience and place to stay.

Heart of downtown Dallas. Tons of places to eat and grab anything that you may have forgotten to bring along for the trip. A lot of places are within walking distance. The only thing we didn’t like was the homeless population. It’s a bit high downtown like most major cities. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and had a nice view from the 22nd floor. The hotel was really quiet and had an old historic feel to it. Would more than likely stay again if we go back.

Overall, the location and the hotel were acceptable. The room are outdated, the carpet throughout the entire property needs to be updated and the rooms could use a thorough cleaning. My room in particular: you can see the dirtiness in plain sight. The walls in the bathroom had some type of "matter." I used my own clorax wipes to wipe down the areas we were touching. As I said, the rooms itself were acceptable. The beds were clean and no outright issues. The beds were somewhat lumpy and I ended up with back aches. Although, the hotel is in a prime location, right in the center of all things that are happening in DT Dallas. I suggest the valet parking being more upfront of how it works and the charges for such service. We were unaware until we showed up but we felt we had no alternative, so we used the valet service.

While I did find the historic element charming, I still left thinking that a newer hotel might be better for my next stay away from home. The bathroom left something to be desired. The bed was a bit too soft and therefore uncomfortable for my husband and I. I did love the deep window sills big enough to sit in and enjoy the city view. The room was surprisingly dark and we still had one of the 6 window curtains open. Overall a decent stay, just missed the modern ammenities.

They charge you $55 every hour you stay after 11am. Room carpet was dirty, refrigerator was unplugged, overall not what I am used to from a hotel. Staff was friendly.

It was lovely. We had an adjoining suite and that was great, but there were five cars total, and it was just a nightmare trying to park because the only other option was valet. Other than that I would book that same room again.

Dallas has good people overall. The Magnolia is good over all. I would like to stay here again. There are always things that can be complained about but this is true in regular daily life. Good stay at the Magnolia; good location & food options.
