Senior Getaway Weekend in McKinney

Cute, comfortable and clean. Close to downtown. Nice quiet neighborhood. Hosts helped us resolve wi-fi issue by coming to the house in just a few minutes. Very friendly and welcoming hosts.

Great house!

Girls weekend! This house is within walking distance (.7 miles) from downtown McKinney. We went to the Wine Walk, had dinner and drinks at The Yard (fantastic place with tons of outside sitting areas) and ended at the Speak Easy on the square. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed. Nice neighborhood and the owner is extremely responsive. Would definitely recommend!!!

We only needed one night this time around. My husband was having surgery @ Baylor Dallas and we had to be there @ 5:00 am this morning. We wanted to cut out some driving time plus coming threw construction at night is hard for me. So it was safer to come in closer to leave that early. Kathy made sure we were able to do just that. I just love her hospitality and friendlyness. She even prayed for my husband and our safety. We will never forget what she done for us and, it was more than she knew. It was still comfortable as the first time we came and I'm sure it won't be the last. God bless Kathy and her Family.

So Quaint and Cozy!

Literally so happy to have found this house to stay at during our weekend getaway! Everything from the booking process to location and check-ins from the property owner were all on point. The house had everything you could possibly need/want. We have zero complaints! It was such a nice experience in every way. We will use this listing many more times to come!

Beautiful home near historic McKinney

My daughter, two grandchildren and I stayed in this beautiful home and enjoyed the quaint historic town. The home was well appointed and all the details have been handled and taken care of. The street was super quiet and we especially enjoyed the front porch swing. Communication with the host was efficient and responsive. We would love to stay here again.

The Dwelling Place

We came into town for a golf tournament and chose the Dwelling Place for our stay. It’s a very lovely beautiful home. Enjoyed my coffee on the back porch in the mornings. Comfy beds. Great hosts. Very attentive . Beautiful and fun Historic downtown area. Lots of shops, restaurants and wineries. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Dusty

The cutest house in the neighborhood! Close to everything downtown McKinney. The owner was very communicative. And provided all details in a warm and friendly manner.

Let me start with the communication and hospitality that the hostess delivered. The wine was a nice touch after the long drive through traffic. Everything was just like the pictures and everything was in its place. The house and neighbors were quiet. Everything was clean, and the kitchen was well organized. There were plenty of fresh towels. That little walk-in-closet was perfect for his/hers. Plenty of hangers to hang your clothes. I wanted to sit out in the swing and in the back yard but, it was a bit too cold. The front and the back yard was beautiful. I loved the large pavers and rock together in the front. Thank you both so much for a pleasant stay. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

PERFECT!

This property has a vintage charm with the luxury of modern upgrades. It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a week-long stay. Our hosts were thoughtful, accommodated special requests and were easily accessible. We travel to this area several times yearly and cannot imagine staying elsewhere.

A Jewel In North Texas

A jewel in North Texas, the Dwelling Place is a charming and well-appointed home within walking distance of historic McKinney's quaint restaurants and shops and within minutes of many other attractions in North Texas. Our hosts anticipated every need and still checked in to see if we were satisfied or if there was anything more we needed. The home is immaculate and comfortable, situated on a quiet side street. There are patios front and rear on a beautiful yard where I can imagine enjoying a coffee or reading a good book (little chilly during our stay). We were in town to celebrate an early holiday with our grandchildren, shop for Christmas and enjoy some down time. The Dwelling Place is more than a place to overnight. It was an integral part of our experience and a wonderful place to start our holiday. Thanks Kathy and Sayres for the warm hospitality and enjoyable stay! We will be back!

Quick Visit to an Awesome Texas town

Three day exploratory visit to McKinney Texas. Quaint home, excellent curb appeal. Interior achieved the difficult balance of classy, welcoming, and functional. Kitchen well equipped and organized. Amazing place with incredible hosts

A beautifully decorated home, quaint, with beautiful touches of love everywhere! The fire pit in the back is great for evenings. It was perfect! The hosts were extremely fast to respond and they were amazing! I would definitely stay here again if I come to this area. I wish all hosts were this amazing! Truly wonderful!

Great house!

The house was clean and comfortable. Quite neighborhood and plenty to do close. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Only negative was the air conditioning struggled to keep up during the heat of the day and the bedrooms would get warm.

Totally remodeled. Kathy has impeccable taste with attention to every detail. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and cozy front and back porches complete this peaceful get away. Truly a gem in the heart of McKinney Downtown Historic district. Loved my walks.
