"Our group of four ladies had an excellent time at the historic Stone Hearth Inn. We stayed in a lovely room with 4 single beds. They were very accommodating, including a late check-in and breakfast. Breakfast included homemade bread and other fresh food in a beautiful setting overlooking the lush backyard. It is a family run operation. We were checked in and served breakfast by Vicki, because her son Edward , daughter Georgia and son-in-law Conner were all working at the local Chester Festival. We really enjoyed meeting and getting to know Vicky. We did sample fresh made donuts and pretzels at the festival. They were amazing! The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, we did not get to eat in the restaurant because it was closed during the festival. We are all certain that the food there would’ve been excellent as both Georgia and Connor are master chefs. All four of us ladies highly recommend this gem in beautiful Chester, Vermont. In any season, it’s a beautiful, relaxing place to stay while exploring the things available nearby, including historic, towns and buildings, covered bridges, hiking, skiing, and great food."

"The soccer room, play room, was pleasantly larger than the images shown. The kids stayed in that room 70% of the time we were at the house!!Place was clean and check in and checkout was a breeze!Couldn’t have asked for a better place, right on the babbling stream which was amazing to listen to while using the fire pit into the evening!"

"My son and I stayed here for the Overland Gravel race and trail run. Everything about the space was pretty much as expected. We made dinner on the grill and sat outside between races and had a great salmon and grilled peppers dinner. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was basically equipped and had everything we needed. Best thing about the place for us though was, undoubtedly, the goats. We spent serious time just hanging out with the four of them and rubbing their heads. Such a pleasant distraction.This area is quite beautiful. Had an awesome post dinner walk down the street. The Xanadu farm made me appreciate some of the simpler things in life."

"Cozy home where we relaxed and de-stressed for a few days. Close to Vermont Country Store, great restaurants and cute local shops. There’s a lot of outdoor exploring in the area as well. It’s a great place to day trip from. While it is an old house, the host is updating it while maintaining its old world charm. Loved all the places set up around the property to relax. Our dog loved fetching a tennis ball, our son was able to set up his hammock and read, and I enjoyed reading on the front steps or back patio (depending on the sun)."

"We enjoyed this beautiful home so much that we have already booked it for another stay in a few months. Everything about it was perfect for us. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. And the hot tub was a great bonus. It house was super clean, and we had everything we needed. The location is great, too! Thanks for a great getaway!"
