Walking distance to downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Great communication with host! Brochures and information are in kitchen area which we really appreciated! The only suggestion would be to have a better outdoor sitting area with patio table/chairs. Other then that it was perfect
Great location, walking distance to town. We were there for the rally and it was centrally located to Crazy Horse, Rushmore, Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road.
Property was clean, well located and fit our needs perfectly. It was roomy and had all the amenities we were looking for. Owners were great and communicated in a timely manner. This is a great choice if staying in Custer.
Perfect location for sites and riding motorcycle. Hit Devils Tower, Badlands, Custer State Park & wildlife loop, Needles Road, Iron Mountain Road, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, and Sturgis from Custer. Perfect home base for vacation.
Was a very nice time. House was clean. Quiet neighborhood. The handicap ramp needs some work done on it, but was adequate for our needs.
We would stay again at this home.
We travelled from Virginia to see the Buffalo Roundup and couldn't be happier with our accommodations. It was so nice at the end of a log day to come to a home that was roomy and comfortable. Our host was very gracious.
This is the second time I've stayed at this property in the last few years and I have enjoyed staying here both times.
The house is layed out well, and works well for couples or individuals.
It's within walking distance to the main business district and its in a quiet neighborhood.
Communication with the owners was easy and timely in response to questions.
We travel to the Black Hills every summer for a week long visit. This year, instead of renting a cabin we decided to rent a house so we'd have more space. The house we stayed in had plenty of room for us and all the comforts of home. The process of securing the house was straight forward and communicating with host was easy. I highly recommend this property.
Our almost 3 year old granddaughter started calling our vacation home our "sweet, sweet home" after two days. The house was so clean and comfortable! Terry left pamphlets, postcards and books in the house to direct us to any site in the Black Hills. Frosted mugs were in the freezer upon arrival. (Nice after a long day driving!) The home is centrally located to all we wanted to see. Kitchen is well appointed with dishes, pots, pans and appliances. The large bathtub in the master suite was a hit with both our grandkids! Being able to return to a home base like this made our vacation memorable and fun. We would return for another vacation.
Not luxurious, but I don’t need that. Clean. Roomier than expected. Lots of natural light, roomy kitchen and well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, utensils and table for 6. Very pleasant kitchen. (Freezer stocked with multiple chilled mugs - a welcome touch). Laundry room had hangers on a rod to dry clothes - another welcome attention to detail. Easy walk to main drag -about 10 minutes. Beds comfortable enough, and we are picky. Pillows are ok, but depending on needs, may want to bring your own. May also want to bring or buy body soap as we only found hand soap and Suave Hair and Body for Men. There is a Dollar General and Family Dollar in town so easy enough to buy on a budget. Overall, very pleasant home and would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at this property in Custer. The house was fully equipped with everything that we needed, and then some. Plenty of kitchen supplies, utensils, and even frosty mugs in the freezer. Toiletries were well stocked. The property was clean and comfortable. The AC worked very well. The location was convenient for the events that we had planned. My only issue was the carport. The way that the carport roof is shaped allows vehicle doors to come in contact with the metal edge of the roof, thus scratching the door. This must be a know issue because a couple of protective foam pads were installed on the edge of the metal in places. I wish the foam has been installed along the entire edge of the carport roof before I scratched the door on my brand new truck. I would stay at this property again and would recommend it to others. Thank you!
A central location for the Black Hills. Property was as described and pictured on the VRBO site when we booked. The property manager was friendly, very responsive and handled any issues immediately and fairly.
Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Mt Rushmore etc. Terry did a GREAT job preparing the home, answering random questions, etc. I highly recommend this place when visiting the Custer area, it was spotless, fresh bed and bath linens, well stocked kitchen and laundry room. Thanks for the hard work hosting your guests!
Actually, the property was better than we expected. We enjoyed our stay. There was a "down home" feeling to the property and that was positive. We liked the cleanliness, easy check in, and responsive host. Everything we needed was close. We visited Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and the Crazy Horse Monument. We would certainly stay there again.
