The COVID-19 outbreak has changed how we travel, but it hasn't halted our love of exploring. Here are some tips on how to deal with travel's new challenges:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
• When you pass through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be asked to briefly lower it for identification purposes. Travellers who refuse to wear a mask may face civil penalties and may also be denied boarding.
• To avoid cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer.

• If you're planning to take food through the screening checkpoint, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
