"I booked a reservation through Hotels.com but mistakenly selected the wrong date (4/1 instead of 3/31). We realized the error when my technician attempted to check in. The reservation had been made only about four hours prior to his arrival. When we contacted the front desk to request a correction, the clerk refused to accommodate the change, stating that 24 hours’ notice was required. Meanwhile, Hotels.com spent over 45 minutes attempting to call the front desk, but no one answered. During this time, my technician remained in the lobby for over an hour, waiting in uncomfortable conditions while I coordinated with Hotels.com. He also requested the name of the general manager and the best time to contact him/her but was only handed a business card with the phone number highlighted. The front desk clerk refused to provide the GM’s name or indicate the best time to reach them. At one point, the clerk disappeared entirely and stopped answering calls, only returning when another guest arrived to check in. Ultimately, we were forced to abandon the reservation and book another stay for my technician for the correct night (3/31). This experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional, and based on this incident, I will not be booking with this hotel brand again in the future. I would appreciate a response regarding this matter."

"I recently stayed at the Virginia Cliffe Inn and had such a wonderful experience, especially when it came to breakfast. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The seared biscuits were a standout — warm, golden, and perfectly crisp on the edges. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and flavorful, paired with delicious bacon cooked just right. I also loved the little touches that made the meal feel special: a fresh bowl of cheese and grapes, a bright and refreshing fruit parfait, and a great cup of coffee to bring it all together. It was the kind of breakfast that makes you slow down and savor the moment. The Virginia Cliffe Inn truly knows how to make guests feel welcome, and this breakfast was the perfect start to the day. I’m already looking forward to my next visit."

"I accidentally clicked a three for amenities... should have been a 5. Breakfast was fresh with a lot of options. The pool/spa area was kept clean and water was clean. The area around has penty of food/entertainment options. We stay in hotels a lot for cheer comps. This s is definitely one of my best finds at bare bones costs. Also, the staff was nothing but 10 stars! Attentive. No cellphone calls while your being ignored. The rooms were also very quiet. Believe me, 100 cheerleader have a lot energy!! I did'nt hear barely a thing."
