"Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. We were assigned room 1201. After check-in, we went to the tiki bar. Food was very good. I had the smash burger and my boyfriend had the fried boneless chicken thighs - Nashville Hot. The room was clean but there had been prior water damage. Unfortunately, the King bed was a mattress on a metal frame. The mattress was well worn and our backs let us know the morning of checkout. The metal frame made lots of noise whenever you turn over or get in or out of bed. The A/C worked well but was very noisy. After the first night, we left the fan on the continuous setting which helped with the noise. The rooms have beautiful plantation shutter s but no darkening curtains. We brought 2 beach towels from home and we used those to block out the light after waking up way to early the first morning. Our room was at the end of the building closest to the highway and the road noise from semi trucks was noisy. The property is well maintained but we didnt get the rest and relaxation we were looking for. The hot tub had teenagers in it and the temperature was probably in the upper 90's so we didn't get to enjoy it."

"Sort of weird. The hotel is currently literally inside a construction zone - you have to drive down a rough dirt road to get there. The room is quite run-down (the construction is replacing the current structure). But everything - wifi, AC, plumbing - works. The free continental breakfast is a joke. However, it is on the water. The back door of the room opens right onto the bay. We saw manatees and a dolphin right there. The attached restaurant is just fine. "

"Excellent customer service, the gal at the front desk was a gem. The towels and sheets were clean, and that is important. But the room was not cleaned properly. The floors, vanity, and bathroom were dirty. And the bathroom door was broken and had no latch, so it would not close all the way. One of the bedside tables had a broken leg. "
