"This hotel is rough around the edges and is showing its age. That would not be so bad, but the room was not clean. There was mold in the shower, drips and water marks on the bedside tables. The bed looked like someone had slept on it after it was made. When I brought it to management's attention, the manager expressed his dissatisfaction with the cleaner and the cleaner was defensive. "

"This lake home had very adequate supplies; kitchen was very useful in the large family room. There are many beds for a large group. The teen girls enjoyed the bunk beds. A bathroom on each floor was essential so welcome. We so enjoyed the included pontoon and were able to launch our boat to pull tubers. A campfire provided us with an enjoyable time having s'mores. O'Brien Lake was really a nice clear lake with sandy bottom. Thanks also to Greg for quick replies to questions we had. From Waukon, Iowa and Mpls. area."

"We had a great time! The property and lake were gorgeous, the staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. They had fantastic amenities! The condo was nice, very spacious, but a little run down. The screens were damaged, so the mosquitos came in at night, and I would recommend additional plates, silverware and perhaps salt/pepper in the units with full kitchens. I would definitely go back!"

"Strawberry Lane was a great place for our 50th anniversary family gathering. The location is beautiful, the home is spotless, a very well maintained property, nicely landscaped, sandy beach, water toys for all ages provided, lots of outdoor seating, barbecue center. We are cooks and the kitchen had everything we needed. We’ve rented houses all over the country and our kids decided this was the best overall house for our family’s needs! and they voted to come back! "
"A group of high school friends rented this property for a long weekend. The location is perfect - near Crosby - and there are lots to do in the area. Golfing, biking & water activities. The property itself is somewhat outdated but it was VERY spacious for our group of 4 couples. With 7 bedrooms everyone got to pick. The kitchen could use a bit more serving pieces and one suggestion would be to label the outside of the drawers/cabinets to help find everything needed faster given the size of the kitchen. :) It would also help to have baggies/foil for leftover food. The room overlooking the lake was our favorite place for coffee & evening hang outs. The house was so big we only used about half of it! The yard is very spacious for games and the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Oh - and Glen the host was very responsive and flexible with requests. Thanks!"
