I wanted to share what an amazing stay we had at your enchanting lake cottage. The views were incredible, and the antique literature placed throughout the home were like little hidden gems. We truly loved fishing in the lake, but the absolute highlight was watching a bald eagle protecting her nest from a hawk.

Very Restful Stay

We enjoyed our getaway at this cottage. It was very cozy and restful! It was quite quiet up there in the Fall which is just what we were looking for.

Beautiful views on the lake

Was a great place for our family. We were in town for the Bassmaster fishing tournament. We were able to leave our bass boat in the water which made our stay that much enjoyable. The house is very cute with all the necessary accommodations

Great Family trip

We loved our stay at The Lilly Pad. Wonderfully equipped and decorated home. Comfortable beds. We rented a boat and the dock was great. Loved the Lilly pad and paddle board and kayak. We look forward to staying here again.

Great place for our needs

This was a nice little property for my son and I to stay and fish. The covered dock was great - long enough to get my fishing boat well protected. Good views there and shade for the hot days.

Perfect!

This was our first trip to Smith Lake and we certainly got lucky when we chose this rental. It was exceptional in every way. Fabulous location! Very easy access to the dock, cozy and comfortable living space that was very well appointed. The host was very responsive. I recommend highly, without reservation.

Lake Getaway

Great location! The house was nicely decorated and had everything we needed and then some. Are they were not too many steps to get down to the lake, which was good for grandma. I could not ask for a better view to drink morning coffee, and watch the sunrise from the deck. We really enjoyed our stay!

Girls Trip!!

We had the best stay! It was the cutest place for us to have my friends relaxing bachelorette weekend!! The views are unmatched! House was cozy and clean!! Meredith even went beyond what she should have and had to ship some personal items we left behind, back to us!! Would definitely stay here again!

I spent a long weekend with my best friends here and it was perfect! The house had everything we needed, and it was clean and comfortable with cute decor. My favorite part was the outdoor setup; we spent the majority of our time floating on the lily pad! It was a great weekend with friends!

Weekend on the Water

This location worked great for us to spend a weekend on the water. The house is close to the water with a short walk down to the boat dock. Everyone we met was very nice and welcoming. We always enjoy staying at smith lake and this property was definitely a hit for good water access and a nice place to enjoy the evenings on the patio.

Lovely home supplied with everything we needed. Great kitchen for cooking together. Perfect spot on the deck swing to have coffee, a drink or simply enjoy the view. The host was exceptionally helpful.

Enjoyed my stay here! Easy lake access, especially for Smith Lake. House is cute, has most everything you need. The driveway is pretty steep, but I find that to be very common for the area. The easy Lake access really makes the spot special. Most rentals you’ll have to descend from Everest to get to the water, this one you do not!

Loved our stay at The Lily Pad!

Overall everything was wonderful & felt like home! Loved that there were items like shampoo, coffee creamer, sugar, a few groceries & plenty of dishes/plastic spoons & forks! Also loved that there were plenty of towels, washcloths & toilet paper! I didn’t feel like we went without anything on this trip! The porch had acorns & leaves but they’re constantly falling this time of year so it would be difficult to do anything about it! Plan to be back!

The Lily Pad - April 2024

We highly recommend "The Lily Pad" for a peaceful getaway! The property is beautiful and accurately described with stunning lake views and amenities like a grill and Solo stove for cozy evenings. The property manager was easy to reach and very helpful. Perfect for a relaxing day - I particularly enjoyed the reclining loungers for afternoon naps by the lake. Bring charcoal for the grill and firewood for the Solo stove and you're all set for a fantastic stay! We are already looking forward to another long weekend at "The Lily Pad!"

Alabama Lake House

The driveway was very steep!! There wasn’t any soap to run the dishwasher. There was a dirty pan left in The oven and only 1 extra roll of TP also the outdoor cushions probably could be replaced, and the floor is very uneven , other then that it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Hope this review helps.

Beautiful, Peaceful Cabin

I had such a lovely stay at the Lillypad! Entry was seamless and everything was extremely clean- not to mention beautifully decorated! I was greeted with complimentary wine, chocolate, popcorn and a lovely sunset over the lake that I could view from windows lining the back of the house. This was the perfect scene for a quiet retreat. I took the kayak out on the water, sat by the fire pit, and read in the cozy living room. I even ventured into Cullman (about 30 Minutes away) for a delicious dinner at 412 Public House. (It also looks like a great brewery and pizza place will be opening close by soon.) It was a lovely stay, and I’m thankful for how accommodating and communicative Meredith And Brandon were. I will definitely be back!

Lake Smith Get Away

The big water view was amazing! The drive to the property was a little bit challenging. Step one lane dirt/gravel road. Not a place you want to drive after dark. The rental was beautiful updated with everything you need. The HVAC and instant hot water heater in the primary bath was a bit noisy at night. The LTV floor was gorgeous but unfortunately there were cracks and gouges in a few spots. Walking barefoot is not recommended. Overall nice weekend retreat with breathtaking views.

Lily Pad Cottage Smith Lake, AL

The little house is precious and very comfortable. It was clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend. There were a couple of things that need addressing. These are minor and owner may not be aware. Wine opener is broke and needs to be replaced. The chairs on the dock deck are broke as well and need replacing. We didn’t bring any chairs with us. The only other thing was that the patios and decks were not cleaned before we got there. Trash was under the chairs as well as leaves and limbs that needed blowing off to freshen up the outside. Like I said minor and we would’ve blown everything off but we didn’t have a blower to use. It really is a cute place and we will rent again in the future.
