Good clean rooms, nice pillows, mattress was good. Nothing over the top just a good stay. Would stay here again. Only comment would be that with your green initiatives I would have a look at changing out the toilets. Biggest use of water in the place. I know the one in our room (312) would never quite stop filling. Just a small thing on a good stay. Thanks again.

This is a perfect ski hotel. The location is ideal and the free shuttle is a huge bonus. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The big hot tub was clean and so enjoyable after a long ski day. There were many extra amenities - fresh hot coffee all day, a large well equipped kitchen to cook meals if desired, free laundry access. And the room was clean and comfortable with a nice view of the river. We will definitely return here when back in Fernie.

When we arrived room smelled bad. We kept the window open for a while and the smell disappeared. We stayed 2 nights. Plenty of parking. Close to town.

Nice-sized rooms. Quite enjoyed the cubby/counter furniture, which allows for easy luggage stowing. Very impressed with the energy efficiency of the hotel (elevator lights off until you get in, corridor lights dimmed or off when no one is present, etc.). Large parking lot that made parking a truck and trailer a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

Virtue signalling is lying
Stop virtue signaling about being green eco friendly. Building has a big gas line hooked to it and is a 1970s building with green signs every where. Lip stick on a pig. Try replacing gross bathtub and appliances. Breakfast that Super Eight made you have before? 146 $ for a mediocre room, never again!

Hello I assure you we do everything we can to be green. Since we dropped the Super 8 flag in April 2020 we have made a huge investment in becoming as environmental conscious as possible.1. We put 54 KW of solar panels on our roof which supplies 50% of our energy use. 2. We have installed and energy management system.3. We have replaced our water heaters for both the hot tub and rooms with this most efficient models available on the market4. We do not use single us plastic anywhere.5. We installed amenities dispensers. (everything is refillable) 6. We have installed water savers on showerheads and taps – don’t worry these do not compromise on the pressure, you still get a powerful shower. We have earned a 4 green key rating for our efforts plus many awards from the local Chamber and Provincial bodies for our environmental achievements. Please see our website for a full explanation of our efforts.The efforts I have explained above was an investment of over 400,000.00 I guarantee that we are not green washing and we truly care about our shared environment.

I was disappointed with remotes for the tv, none would control volume. The manager tried with 1/2 a dozen different ones. All it would take is a call to Shaw to replace them. Deal with it!

Family of 5 here (3 elementary school aged kids). We messed up a booking with one of the larger properties in Fernie, and ended up at the Fernie Fox last-minute because it was the only property with availability for our dates. We were really pleasantly surprised with the Fernie Fox and would absolutely stay there again. It was clean, comfortable, and great value. Very friendly staff. Lovely patio with BBQ and nice view of mountains. Easy walk to downtown. The property is super eco-friendly. There was plenty of room for the roll-away bed in the room. Recommend.

The hotel wasn't too bad. The hotel is aiming to be more eco-friendly, which is always nice to see. But, the room was a bit small for my preference, and the air conditioner was stuck on a warm temperature, so it was hard to sleep at night, but hopefully they fix it. And the elevator was a bit creepy because when it opens it's completely dark inside (but the light turns on once you enter it, might be because of the eco-friendly stuff the hotel is doing, I'm not sure), it was also a small elevator. Other than that, they had a breakfast coupon for guests at the Smitty's next to it so you can get some affordable breakfast in the morning. The staff were friendly and it's pretty close to the town, restaurants and other stores such as the Beanpod (great gelato btw) are just about a 3-5 minute drive by car.

Sleepless in Fernie fox
We had a room on the ground floor, you could hear very noisy water pipes all through the night, the walls are paper thin and people were noisy in the corridor, there is a communal kitchen on the ground floor which is great for everyone but not great for the bedroom near it. We had very little sleep as the noise throughout the night was horrendous. If you want a good nights sleep, DO NOT GET A GROUND FLOOR ROOM
