"This house was nicer than the photos! It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with implements to make a delicious surf and turf dinner. 1st floor bath had a wonderful shower and the queen beds were great. Host was very responsive and helpful. "The house was clean and comfortable. Pool was cleaned after we got there and woke up to no water on the first morning due to water main repair. Water was back on by the time we made it back after rafting. Had to use the gas station down the street for a rest room. Over all a good experience. "

"My best friend and two dogs stayed at the home as we visited New River Gorge NP. It was conveniently located to the park and offered a very comfortable landing place after longs days of hiking. We'd recommend additional skillets/frying pans as it was a bit hard to make breakfast with only one, but other than that all was very nicely appointed. Great getaway!"

"We stayed at Coal Miners Casa superbowl weekend. The house had plenty of room for 8 people. It was very clean and stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire-pit area. The game room was stocked with some different games for all ages. The rails to trails path was a short walk from the house and we enjoyed a nice walk. Would definitely rent again next year for our yearly trip! "

Lodging by the lake.

"Upon arrival you will find an older lodge type accommodation. Everyone was efficient and friendly. Plenty of towels, you can get ice down in the lobby thru the restaurant. Rooms are older and haven’t been updated in a while, but the location and view of the lake is why you come (unless it’s winter-then skiers) There is a bar/grill that serves dinner- no breakfast. Beds are older and could be updated, but rooms were clean. Very quiet. Enjoyed live music the night we stayed."
