Rushmore Retreat in Cowes

"Rushmore Retreat" is a delightful light-filled, single-storey, pet friendly family home in Cowes just a short drive from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

The central hallway from the front door leads past the Master Bedroom (with WIR and en-suite with shower and toilet), 2nd living room and separate Laundry (with clothes washing machine), to the large Kitchen (with a huge walk in pantry) and spacious, light filled open plan Dining/Living room (with TV), high ceilings and an oversized double stacking slider door to the covered Alfresco area. The other 3 bedrooms, main bathroom (with shower and bath) and a separate toilet are accessed via a secondary hallway off the main living room.

Outdoor Areas

The covered outdoor deck/alfresco (with 6-seater outdoor table) overlooks the fully enclosed rear and side yards, which are perfect for children and pets alike. The double Garage (with fold-up Table Tennis Table) has internal access to the home and provides space for 2 cars, with additional space for another 2 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway.

Opposite the home is a fantastic park with open spaces perfect for ball games and with some under cover seating.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, a coffee machine (Nespresso inissia), toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, massive walk in pantry, large fridge, dishwasher, 900mm wide gas oven and 5 burner cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home is equipped with a reverse-cycle split system unit in the living area and separate heaters and fans in each bedroom.

Bedroom 2: One Double bed
Bedroom 3: One Double bed and one Single bed
Bedroom 4: One Queen bed

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
