About the home
“Findlay on the Bay” is a brilliantly located family home in central Cowes, only 100m to the Cowes foreshore including the beach, play equipment and lively seasonal markets, and 250m to the main strip of Cowes with its supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is the open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living area (with TV and DVD player) opening onto a delightful patio. There is a combined Bathroom/fully equipped Laundry (with shower, toilet, washing machine & clothes dryer). A section of the Garage has been tastefully converted into a multipurpose Living Room (with smart TV, couch & desk) - perfect for working remotely. Upstairs is Bedroom 1 which features a TV, BIR and balcony, Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR) and a Bathroom (with shower over spa bath & toilet).
Outdoor Areas
The covered Balcony off Bedroom 1 has outdoor setting for two and overlooks the screened, private courtyard (with BBQ and outdoor setting for 4). There is a large, fully fenced communal lawn - perfect for the kids. The Garage is not available for guests, but there is parking for two cars in the driveway and additional parking available on the street. Just 100m down the road is the Erehwon Point beachfront playground, with swings, slides, climbing equipment and covered communal BBQ faciities.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle split system unit in the Living room, plus there are ceiling fans in the Living Room and in Bedrooms 1 & 2, with a stand-alone fan in Bedroom 3.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (upstairs): One Queen bed Bedroom 2 (upstairs): One Double bed Bedroom 3 (upstairs): One set of Single bunks, one single bed and one Single Trundle bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.

Terrific house in a great location. The garage conversion is nice and gives some living flexibility to the place. Clean, everything works and easy process.
Tidy and modern unit close to everything for our MotoGP weekend.
Management team have been nothing but polite and professional, helping us navigate COVID and the constant rescheduling over the last few years.

dissappointed
We were happy with the property in general it was neat clean and bery close to the beach and main shops
Unfor tunately we were very disappointed that on arrival we had to switch on the hot water service which we only realised after going to have a shower later that night. We also had to search the property for instructions on how to light the system as well as matches or a gas lighter
We were unable to use bbq as it was not clea and outdoor setting was dusty and covered with cobwens and not even set up
The dishwasher didnt work put it on and it was going 3hrs k ater and soap dispenser hadnt even opened.
On our last night went to try the spa which also didnt work. Supposedly it does but nee c to turn on the pump where and how i dontt know
So overall inside is nice clean and comfortable but b asically you need to come in a set everything up otherwise they are not turned on or lite and hopefully you enjoy doing dishes which we dont especially on holidays.
