"Upgraded with great fanfare on arrival. Next morning told a mistake was made and had to move rooms to be downgraded again, to a road / car park view. Disrupted whole first day. WiFi doesn’t work. Coffee bad, rooms too hot, pool too cold. Woodwork decorations in the lift very nice."

"Beautiful, atmospheric (though well maintained) old building. One of the doors inside is bullet into an impressive stone arch with the Savoie crest carved into it. It once marked the boarder between Savoy and the rest of Italy, so that gives an idea of how old the original structure is My room was comfortable and had a balcony affording a lovely view of time-honoured stone-tiled roofs and the mountains beyond . The restaurant's menu was small but the food was excellent, and the house wine a very good accompaniment to the jugged stag. Breakfast was excellent and kept me going during my drive through the tunnel and across France to Laon, north of Riems. A perfect example of professional but friendly hospitality. Highly recommended"

"Circumstances meant that I could not stay on the date booked. I contacted the hotel and Expedia to change the date and pay any difference. Request refused due to “hotel policy”. Totally inflexible. We went to another resort. "
