"I arrived and the owner wasn’t expecting me even though I had booked earlier that day through Expedia. The room was fine, hard mattress but I like that. A bit outdated and hard worn sheets but I slept really well. I asked about dinner and the owner said yes 7:30. "This is an excellent historical property. It has been painstakingly restored and is both comfortable and elegant. We really enjoyed our time here, the bed was one of his not the most comfortable that we have slept on in the two months that we've been on the road. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is excellent but a bit pricey."

"I was tempted to leave a terrible review to put everyone else off but that seemed perhaps a little unfair. This was the most magical, wonderful place to spend time with our children who were utterly entranced with the ponds and loved every moment in the pools. By day #2, one of our 7 year olds was asking if there are schools nearby and could we just live here? Beautiful gardens, fabulous wildlife (learning the French for hedgehog!), late sunsets and a lovely host. Thank you. "

"At first there was a bit of a mixup regarding accommodation but the owner went out of her way to rectify the situation & was more than helpful. Had a very nice meal at a local restaurant Contine. The breakfast which was included was very good with home made preserves etc. Parking on the street wasn't a problem at all. Would recommend staying in this beautiful historic small chateau. Thank you."
