Bed and Breakfast in Costessey

"My one night stay at the George Hotel was a 100% positive experience, I was going to a Take That concert at Carrow Rood Football Stadium I decided to travel by train and stay overnight I could not have chosen a better Hotel. I felt sure I had picked a good hotel after my research before booking. However upon arrival I was amazed at how very nice the Hotel was. Helen the receptionist on duty when I arrived was so pleasant,efficient and knowledgeable regarding my questions re the Venue I was going to. When I went to my room I found it to be spacious for a single room with all of the usual amenities found in a good Hotel room. Both the room plus the ensuite were immaculately clean, spotless. The bed was the same, immaculate with pure white bed linen, two good quality pillows and what felt like when I slept in it, a very comfortable memory foam mattress. Breakfast was included in my stay,there was a very good selection of cold serve yourself buffet plus an extensive separate hot freshly cooked to order menu, which I much preferred to the usual hot buffet style breakfasts on offer these days. The service at breakfast was excellent and my food was hot,fresh and delicious. After breakfast I went to reception to ask if it was possible for them to order a taxi to the train station Olga was on duty this time,she happily obliged, she even came out to the taxi with me and bade me goodbye. I did convey to Olga my thanks & how happy I was with my stay. I honestly cannot fault this hotel"

"Nice hotel at a reasonable price not many dining options in surrounding area but food is available in the hotel restaurant and bar breakfast is good quality and there are a couple of decent golf courses at a reasonable price."

"We arrived to a very warm welcome and a super clean bedroom and bathroom. The reception manager gave us a lovely tip for a walk along the river to the Cathedral too!"

"All the staff, especially the Manager Paul were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable the bathroon was a good size but looked a bit tires - the lever attaching to the shower handle was missing and the woodwaord needed painting. The breakfast was excellent and we had one evening meal in the Hotel during our stay which was also good. The hotel is conveniently located to explore both the Coast and the Broads and we would recommend it. Overall the hotel was good value for money."

"I loved the swimming pool as well as the hot tub. Lovely place. It was just hot in my bedroom, maybe perfect for the winter. Air conditioning would do for the warmer seasons. "
