Property is low cost and in terms of value it was fair. The junior suite looked on to balconies of the adjacent hotel, the metal camp bed style bed was terribly uncomfortable. The hotel itself was average in every way, nothing too bad, nothing to say was particularly good either, other than the bar staff being very friendly. I’d say for two nights out of season it was fine but in peak summer I can imagine the lifts, breakfast, checkout, Sun loungers etc being very over crowded.

Our experience was great. The food was very good, a lot of things to do. The only downside I had was with cleanliness. We asked every day for the room to be cleaned and made up. And even when they did came and organized the room, they never swept the floors. But I will give it 9 out of 10

good for young families
Joined our daughter's family for a week here. Otherwise we wouldn't choose such a relatively large family hotel. It was all about boys 8 & 11 have a good time - which they did. A lot of time spent in pool and sea [10 min walk]. HB meal choice was fine for them; okay for us [wow, the restaurant staff work hard!]. Outside entertainment 9.30 okay. Particularly good guitarist one evening. All thought bed's too hard and rooms dated - but okay. Reception staff good. Cutting a long story short - getting a few drinks at bar either slow or very slow; and bathroom could have been brushed better before our arrival.

We stayed here as part of our road trip through Spain. A family of two adults and two teenage kids. The hotel was easy to find via sat nav. You actually get to the hotel around the back where you can drop everyone and all the cases etc off easily with good access. There is free parking in an off road car park nearby or you can park across the road at a daily cost. The hotel is very clean and the staff were excellent, very helpful and polite. We were there in April so the pool was a bit too cold to use but that’s not the hotels fault. You can use the indoor one at a charge (worked out 40 euros for two hours for four of us with shower caps that had to be purchased and used). The hotel itself is nice and clean and well looked after. There was evening entertainment. We went half board. The hospitality staff were very helpful. Our daughter suffers from allergies and they were very helpful with selecting and even cooking her food separately which was very kind. The food was a bit repetitive from night to night but that’s quite a general thing we’ve found. Santa Susanna itself doesn’t have much going on. We found ourselves jumping in the car and driving 20mins to Lloret de mar. We also went to tossa de mar which was very pretty and to Blanes for the day. There are much nicer beaches at all these places and you don’t have to try and cross a train line to get to the beaches. That was our only gripe. Everything else was fine. There’s plenty of public transport around if you need it.

This is definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. The rooms are not clean at all and very dated and small. Paper thin walls. I could hear the man above me snoring every night! You can hear people outside your room almost as if they were inside it. Small rooms and so overcrowded. The only positive is the buffet, food was good and staff had it organized well even though the line to get in would sometimes stretch to all the way out the lobby and past the elevators. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

Great property that we came back to for a second time. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful ( especially Robert at the reception who was great!). The daily cleaning could be slightly better ( Its probably rushed due to the number of rooms in the hotel) - the buffet is good and the pool is great fun! Cons: 1. The bar service is verrry slow - probably because a staff of 2 takes care of the entire lobby and pool area. All 4 days they forgot to bring our drinks 2. Our 4 year old went into the bubble club with a staff member 'monitor' and then 20 min later we found him wandering on the beach. He had left and no one noticed, not safe at all. If you have young kids, make sure you stick around them even if they are in the kids club

The lobby and all commun areas were Nice and modern, but the rooms were in a really vad shape, the beds were hard and old and the bathroom breda a renovation. Towells were not clean and overall I am happy we did only stay there one night since the Walls were really thin.

OK Stay
Bed was very uncomfortable. There were partirs every night organized by the hotel in the pool are and could be heard from the room. The dinner buffet food was mediocre but the breakfast buffetwas good. Hotel is close to the beach amd the staff were friendly. The bed was VERY uncomfortable.

Save yourself and choose another hotel.
Very expensive bar, ice cold pools, beds were like sleeping on a bench, pillows were way to hard and big. Food in the buffet was ok 2 out of 7 times, bad food with no taste at all. Almost every night we went straight out again to catch a bite outside the hotel. Every day we had to go to the reception to get our keys re scanned, because they stopped working. Nice hotel, but We will not come back here.

An awesome experience ! Place, shopping , beach , rooms, not to mention the buffet ! Food was absolutely excellent with lots of varieties and selection (breakfast , lunch and dinner ) If you are looking for a place away from the city traffic “Barcelona” then recommend aquamarina hotel in Santa Susanna. Barcelona is an hour away and costa Brava is 45 mins Overall , it was an awesome

The pool area was nice, but the rooms are outdated and the bathrooms need to be renovated. The most annoying thing is you need to leave a deposit for each pool towel, the rooms do not have an iron/ironing board requiring another deposit and you are also charged for the safe lock. The hotel should hold a credit card amount for these items at the time of check in.

Fifth time at this hotel but for us it wasn't the same. Its clean and tidy but lacked something this time around. Our room was very small and not somewhere you wanted to spend anytime. Very clean and tidy though. Food was OK. Entertainment not great so spent most evenings elsewhere. Please stop balls etc in the pool, it's not big enough and you can't get in to cool off without dodging various pool missiles. As others have said the pool isn't big enough for the hotel. I love this hotel hence our many visits but don't think I would go again. Maybe that's us and not the hotel fault.

Generally a nice hotel. Very small beds and freezing cold jacuzzi. Nice bar area and quiet sunbathing area. Good restaurants

the location, the kids club (bubble), the food, the cleanliness and the wellness centre were all excellent. the night time entertainment was variable, the flamenco and the young male duo with the guitars were excellent whilst some other nights once the mini disco had finished it was better to depart. overall a great hotel. we had stayed once before 3 years ago, and it was even better this time.

Next to the beach. Good buffet, cutlery sometimes sticky. Rooms OK, but you can hear everything from the corridor and the rooms around. Staff friendly - OK.

The hotel was nice, however if your kids play basketball like mine it was 9.5 euro an hour extra. Which meant the court was never used. There were also double sun beds outside that were 30 euros which again lay empty. I think both should have been free for guests. The Spa was 8 euros for the day but was good value and the lady who ran it was nice. The evening entertainment one night out of five was OK. The rest of the nights we had to walk to the hotel next door or to a local bar to get live music or watch a good show. And the last day they advertised Zumba at 4pm. No one on reception new where it was and told us the wait in the main hall. Nearly 5pm and still no class or teacher. It was very poor. The food was good though with plenty on offer morning and night. Over all it was clean and tidy but the extra costs and lack of quality entertainment put a damper on the holiday.

Pleasant stay
Close to the beach. Activities offered - aquafitness,spa and other fitness classes. The staff were friendly. Efficient buffet breakfast and dinner. I'd recommend.

Brilliant Place
First time to Spain, couldn't speak any Spanish and the Brilliant staff were happy to speak in English and help pick up a few Spanish phrases along the way, couldn't fault any of them! Whole hotel was spotless, good quality and variety of food, not noisy at night in the room even with evening entertainment, 5 minute walk to the back and shops. If I had to pick one point to improve, it would be the room air-con, I had the thermostat all the way down and it was still kicking out at 18ish degrees which isn't ideal if you don't cope well with hot bedrooms. Would i stay again, definitely, infact any Aqua hotel in the area all looked to be just good.....
