About this property

Cozy 3BR Townhouse in Cospicua with Balcony & WIFI

  • Welcome to Mazzarell — a 17th-century Bormla townhouse restored properly, right down to the `1688` still carved into the limestone inside.✨

Bare stone walls, terracotta floors, handmade pine furniture and two internal courtyards. Three bedrooms, two shower rooms, a solid pine kitchen with a retro gas range, and a decked roof terrace with a dining table, sofas and a BBQ under drawn curtains.🎑

The Cospicua ferry to Valletta is a seven-minute walk. Birgu is twenty.🏡

Mazzarell is a real 17th-century Maltese townhouse, not a modern flat dressed up as one. Exposed globigerina walls, terracotta floors, exposed timber beams, and `1688` carved into the stone by whoever built it. 🔥 Kitchen & Dining
A solid pine kitchen with a marble worktop, a Gorenje retro gas range and oven, microwave, retro fridge-freezer and a built-in extractor. Bar stools at the counter, a proper table to eat at, and air conditioning for when the cooking heats things up. 📺 Entertainment Area
A sofa, a 40` Google TV and a bar unit set against bare limestone — the room where the group ends up after dinner. There is a separate reading corner for whoever wants quiet. 🛏️ Main Bedroom
A handmade pine bed and matching wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside units, soft grey linen and its own Olimpia air conditioner. Panelled walls and lamplight — the calmest room in the house. 🛏️ Second & Third Bedrooms
The second sleeps two in separate pine beds against a bare stone wall, with a wardrobe, Venetian blinds, a night safe and air conditioning. The third is a single room with a gilded full-length mirror, pine wardrobe and its own air conditioning. 🚿 Two Shower Rooms
One on the ground floor and one upstairs, both with full glass shower cubicles and modern fittings, in neutral tones against the old stone. 🌿 Two Courtyards
A ground-floor courtyard with a hardwood bench, terracotta planters and soft wall lighting, and a smaller upper courtyard planted out for a quiet coffee. Both completely private. 🌅 Roof Terrace
The best room in the house has no roof. A timber-decked terrace with a six-seat dining table, a full outdoor sofa set, three sunshades and curtains you can draw against the sun — plus a BBQ unit and a roof kitchenette with an air fryer and a fridge, so you never have to…

Bormla — Cospicua to most visitors — is one of the Three Cities across the Grand Harbour from Valletta. It is a working Maltese town with a fortified waterfront, not a resort, and it is where people go when they want the real thing. ⚓ The Grand Harbour & the Ferry
The Cospicua ferry terminal is a seven-minute walk, and the crossing to Valletta takes about five minutes — arriving under the bastions by water rather than by road. 🏰 Birgu & Senglea
Fort St Angelo and the Birgu waterfront are a twenty-minute walk around the creek, past the marinas. The Collachio`s medieval lanes, the Malta Maritime Museum and the waterfront restaurants are all on that side. 🛒 Everything on the Doorstep
Two small grocery stores are on the same street, about a minute away. Verdala Pharmacy is a six-minute walk and a late-opening convenience shop is eight. A full supermarket is a five-minute drive in Fgura. 🍽️ Where People Actually Eat
The Birgu waterfront is the local answer for dinner, with everything from Maltese cooking to marina-side seafood, and Valletta`s restaurants are a short ferry ride away. 🤫 A Real Neighbourhood
These are narrow streets where people live year-round. It is quiet, it is safe, and it asks the same courtesy back — which is exactly why it still feels like Malta. Harbour, history and a ferry to the capital, all within a few minutes of the door.

The house is situated in a narrow, pedestrianised street. Quiet residential neighbourhood.

Dock 1 Promenade 🚶‍♀ – A picturesque waterfront walk lined with cafés and shaded spots to relax.
