Friendly staff, really nice rooms, the pool is awesome and the food at the taverna restaurant is really good (could have been warmer). Really appreciated the shuttle into town although the hotel is at a walking distance. Highly recommend

The Lajarda is an extraordinary place where they aim to exceed your expectations. Spotless, attentive, anticipated needs, and provided spectacular recommendations. The spa was wonderful, relaxing, and just what was needed after a day of hiking. The team was what made it top notch!! So friendly and always tried to get to ‘yes’.

The entire staff especially Diana, front desk manager and the restaurant maitre’d were excellent. Diana recommended Baita Fraina for dinner and it was our best meal during our entire trip in Northern Italy! The hotel room assigned to us was quite warm. It would be wise for the hotel to invest in air conditioning for rooms 50-55!

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Lajadira and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were celebrating our honeymoon, and the staff surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful suite. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our honeymoon feel even more special, and we truly appreciated it. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. They always greeted us with a smile and made us feel well taken care of. The suite was absolutely incredible—spacious, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. It made our stay feel luxurious and relaxing after spending our days exploring the Dolomites. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon so memorable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Lajadira to anyone visiting Cortina d’Ampezzo. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lovely rooms, helpful staff, and beautiful wellness area which includes a sauna and steam room. Best part was the wide selection of food for breakfast. Bathroom draining could use some work as it was clogged.

We stayed in a suite, in the new area of the hotel. The biggest minus is the location - in front of a busy street, so the noise was overwhelming. The rooms were lovely, two bathrooms, which was great. However, there was no AC, and one afternoon the temperature in the room reached a smoldering 32C. They also charged us an extra $700 for having a third person - my daughter, which is crazy, because the price for the suite was high enough. The breakfast was not impressive, and the food choices for dinner limited.

Beautiful with need to update

The hotel is beautiful. A few minutes by car from Cortina, or a 30-40 minute walk, but they offer a shuttle from the hotel to city center upon request and at no cost. The spa was great. Had many options, but timeframe to use it, is limited. Basically 5 hours on the day you get there, and that’s if you’re not doing any other activity. The spa is available from 1pm til 8pm every day, which means you can’t use it the following morning. Pool should be considered separate from the Spa. Despite being in the mountains, it can get very hot during the summer and the hotel had no AC. They asked us to open the windows, but later provided one of the few fans they have available within the hotel.
