Overall, the house was beautiful — well-furnished and very clean. We really wanted to enjoy it more, but there were a couple of major issues that made it difficult.
1. The WiFi was extremely unreliable, only working around 30% of the time, mostly late at night. Since all of the TVs relied on WiFi, we weren’t able to use any of them during our stay.
2. The washer and dryer didn’t work, which added another layer of inconvenience.
Because of these issues, we spent most of our time out at the beach, nearby family-friendly restaurants, or the pool. We mainly used the home just to sleep and shower, which was disappointing — especially when we just wanted to relax indoors for a bit. The kids were frustrated with not being able to use their devices during downtime, so we constantly had to find ways to keep them entertained outside the house.
We’ve never had this kind of experience with Silver Sands rentals, which we’ve used for past vacations. This time we went with Vacasa due to availability, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. We made the best of it, but it definitely impacted the quality of our stay.
