I had a great stay and the host also went the extra mile and bought some champagne from a request and also placed some flowers that I had delivered to the resort into room.. thank you for making the stay so great!!!

Spring Break

Pros: All staff we interacted with were extremely curious and pleasant. -The beach was easily accessible and family friendly. We successfully avoided a lot of the spring break crowd. -Washer and Dryer were plus Cons: The unit is quite outdated. This didn’t bother our family a whole lot as we were outside most of the time but if we would have experienced rain/weather it could be a factor. -Couch bed is missing most the springs to hold the mattress, we made it work but barely for our 7 year old. -2 of 3 pools were being re-surfaced. They most likely would have been too cold to use this time of year but would have been nice to know. -Kitchen equipment is limited. Plan on needing everything yourself to cook including basic essentials like salt and pepper. -Few blankets provided

Great beach visit!

Condo was just right for our family! We enjoyed cooking in(dishes and dishwasher could use a refresh, but ended up with all we needed). Condo was nice and clean. Pool area was a pleasant surprise, well-attended and updated. We like having the resort style pool between condo and beach. Looking forward to future visits!

mildew infested

The condo we rented had a pungent mold and mildew odor that gave me a bad headache the whole time I was there. I spoke to the manager in charge and she claimed she had no idea what mold and mildew smells like and wouldn't know what to do about it. She said she would send her maintenance man to check it out but nothing happened. Obviously there is severe water damage somewhere, it wasn't visible, but the fumes were very strong. We had to light scented candles and spray with air freshener frequently just to tolerate it, but it gave me a terrible sinus headache the whole time.

Lovely accommodations

Beautiful condo, plenty of room and a beautiful view. A few small item sizes can take this to a 5 rating. The patio deck furniture is damaged and unusable, the air vent at the front door has been overlooked for a long time and could use clothes hangers for guests. Mayan Princess needs to upgrade the pool furniture and add umbrellas, do a little power washing around the grounds. Small things but would elevate the experience.

AC and Water Issues

The unit looks nice and check in is easy. First day issues were water and AC. Water, every faucet and shower had scalding hot water coming out of the cold water faucet. A child would have burned themselves. There was no way to take a shower. The fix the next morning was that every cold water faucet had to be opened and run to clear all the hot water out. The showers never worked and you constantly had to turn them off and back on to finish a shower as the water kept getting hotter and hotter. Management aruge with us that it was plumbed backwards and then hung up. Bottom line if it is known that every cold water faucet needs to be turned on to clear the hot water that should be done before someone checks in. The hot was so hot a child would burn their hand. The AC did not work on arrival. Maintenance came the next morning and sucked out water from a pan and said it would start working. By the time real AC company showed up it did not get fixed until 1pm and it was 81 degrees in the unit. This was a coolant issue and routine checkup would have caught the problem before a paying guest showed up. Very disappointed that this place expensive per night and you can't really take a good shower. It is not suitable for people with kids under 10. We will not be back.

Needs work

The guest bedroom and bathroom(shower) need work. The bed is extremely noisy just turning over would make so much noise. The bed did not appear to be a queen size as advertised. The shower in the guest bathroom was comically small and even my 5’1” self found it difficult to navigate. Not a huge deal, but there are no TVs in the bedrooms. The rest of the condo was nice. So, if you’re like us and just looking to have a change of scenery for just a few days it works, but I would not have been able to do much more than 3 nights.
