Aransas Channel Dock & Fishing Pier on Harbor Island

Enjoy our newly constructed cottage and patio that faces beautiful Redfish Bay and South Bay.
Bay Dock Cottage has a patio deck, a boat dock, a 100’ fishing pier with lights, a patio and lots of parking. Our two bedroom 2 1/2 bath house sits next to the 14’ deep Aransas Channel. Shrimp boats and fishing boats use this waterway to navigate local bays as they make their way to and from the Gulf of America through the jetties. This is a family friendly property. We are located 3 miles east of Conn-Brown Harbor and 3 miles west of the Port A Ferry.

Family Getaway!

3 adults, 5 kids - before the first full day was over everyone was begging to make this an annual trip! The pictures don’t do it justice! Perfect location! Not only on the water, but close enough to the bigger places you can get there fairly quickly and easily without the business of the city! Accommodations were more than accommodating! I almost forgot! There’s a bait shop next door (we caught some and bought some!) and the kids and adults all caught fish! I would recommend staying here and it sounds like we’ll be back!

I could write an entire page on how happy we were with everything about this home ! The location,cleanliness , all the details. We stay at the coast often and no place has ever provided the items that these two did. From extra linens , spices for cooking , lots of toiletries, even a crab trap. You could literally pack a bag of clothes and nothing else and have everything you need here . The place was spotless , location quiet and great fishing . Easy access for kayaks to get in and out. This is definitely a place we will be returning again and again. Owners are next door and very friendly!! Love it

This house is in a great location. A great place to fish or just sit on the pier and watch the boats travel up and down the inter coastal canal.

The property was well maintained and supplied! It was a tad tight for 8 people, but other than that it was fantastic and we had a great vacation! Fun fishing of pier, exploring the area, and lower level bathroom was very convenient!

Fisherman’s Paradise

We had the most amazing time. The finishing was incredible, we were able to sit on the dock all day. If you need bait all you do is go next door. If that isn’t enough you also get to watch the dolphins swim up and down the channel. If you are looking to get away from the crowds this is the place for you. We are already wanting to plan our next trip here.

Perfect!!

We rent houses all over the place and I have to say this was by far our favorite! The owners were EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. We caught a ton of fish off the dock and I couldn’t say better things about this house. The description is exactly as said. Can’t wait to come back and hopefully it won’t rain the entire time we’re there haha!

Fishing trip

Property is very nice and clean. We all loved the house. Owners provided everything you need, you just bring the food and drinks. Owners live next door. We all enjoyed talking to them, really great people. We went kayak fishing, launching from back yard. Enjoyed fishing and hanging out on dock. We hope to go here again!

Well equipped with beautiful views

The property is incredibly well equipped. The views help you settle into relaxing on your vacation while watching the sport fishers go by and dreaming of winning the lotto. We hired captain Steven next door and got into some good reds. Sonny and Sue, who live next door, were very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. Already talking to the gang that went about repeating this vacation. Highly recommend this property.

Love this house!

If it was possible, we would give this house and the owners a higher rating than 10. Sonny and Sue are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The house is immaculate and so cozy that you feel right at home. Everything is there that you could possibly need including an electric teapot that is wonderful for us tea drinkers. The pier was fantastic for fishing and we saw dolphins everyday. We had the absolute best 7 days ever spent at fishing and just relaxing in this beautiful home. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful, stress free getaway. Thank you Sonny and Sue, we are planning to come back in April!

Great Rental

Overall, for me, this was a perfect rental. Right on the canal, with a dock for the boat, and a close boat launch. Saved the hassle of launching the boat every day. Literally minutes from great fishing ground in the bay. 10 minute boat ride to the surf. Trout under the dock lights all night long. Bait stand right next door. Great rental. We will definitely rent again.

If I could give this property 10 stars, I would! Everything about it was spectacular! The house is directly on the bay, with a dock for fishing. We caught so many fish that we stopped just to take a break! We watched dolphins swimming by all day and night, and watched boats and ships go by as well. The house was so cute, cozy, and comfortable. It was immaculately clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfy! Our hosts (the owners) were such incredibly kind and thoughtful people. They even brought us a thank you gift!. We will absolutely be coming back!

Charming, Cozy, Comfortable, Clean!

We came specifically to meet up with family, but I wanted someplace where my husband could fish as well. This was the perfect spot.While the weather wasn’t great, the house was beyond perfect. Completely comfortable, so cozy, extremely clean!, and charming. My daughter and I exclaimed several times how this is great, and that’s beautiful, and oh, I love that! The bedrooms and bathrooms are of nice size and there’s access to a washer/dryer, WiFi and tv. There’s isn’t an oven/range but there’s plenty of other cooking options, we utilized the electric frying pan frequently. We had no problems with anything.The owner, Sonny, chatted with about an injured duck and answered our questions and was just genuinely nice.Should we come back this way, I’ll stay, but only if we can stay here!

Most Beautiful Views

Our stay was wonderful! The owners were so nice and truly made our stay so comfortable! We caught several small specs and sand trout at night once the pier lights came on. The dolphins were the most exciting experience of all as they came within a few yards from the dock each night. The turquoise waters were mesmerizing from about 11am-4pm! What a dream spot! The only suggestion I could possibly offer would be an outdoor shower. But there was a water hose to wash off with before heading upstairs. Everything else was perfect!!

Incredible Weekend Fishing Stay

We had a great time at this property. My buddy and I came in for the weekend to do some fishing and will definitely be back. Sonny and Sue are great hosts. Everything was as described and the place is very comfortable and clean. The dock out front made it easy to launch our little boat each morning to go out and fish Redfish Bay. Dolphins are ever present (day and night) in the channel by the house. We didn't catch much off the dock like other guests have, but had great fishing in Redfish Bay. HEB is only 5 minutes down the road in Aransas Pass and Port A is an easy drive (and ferry ride) for dinner in the evening. Even though there's no stove, we did fine with prepared foods and the toaster oven and microwave did just fine for a short stay. Plenty of spices, plastic wrap, paper towels and other essentials. We didn't want for anything. Great stay! We'll be back.
