The location of the property was spectacular, private gated community with plenty amenities for young children. overall, the house was great. It did have small cosmetics defects, but the location of the house was great it is tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, and it wasent sandwiched in between two other houses we definitely will rent this house again when we come back to Corolla
We loved our time at Our place! Everything was clean and really nice! We loved how close it was to the ocean and the convience of the trolley!
We would definitely come back!
The house and complex were amazing but they should fire the cleaning company. Used soap bar and hair ties in showers, cigarette butts and pool equipment all around the pool area, grill was so dirty it was unusable. We had to clean before enjoying the house.
This house will forever hold a place in our hearts. It was extremely suitable and accessible for everyone. The gated community is beautiful, and the location is extremely close to anything and everything you can think of. There are a couple of minor improvements the home could use, but nothing that hindered our time together. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone interested in renting and would myself rent this same property again in the future.
Perfect sized property for our family of 4 adults and 4 kids. Beds were comfortable and as described. Pool was awesome! Wonderful great room with well-stocked kitchen. The pantry was a nice surprise!
Our only complaint were the number of “broken” things on property when we arrived: outdoor chairs broken and not able to be used; various broken light fixtures, lampshades, deck. All were reported right away.
Bring wasp and bee spray as we had major wasp issues and two children were stung. This is obviously common and not at the fault of the property owner.
Great location to the beach. Much closer than anticipated!
This house is so incredibly run down and it was honestly a huge disappointment. When you rent a home during covid you expect it to be cleaned more thoroughly - this home was not. It was so dirty upon our check it. Dead bugs on all the window sills, on the counter and in the shower. The powder room off of the kitchen smelled so badly of urine we literally could not use it or even leave the door open. The coffee pot was missing from the coffee maker. No glass tray in the microwave. The oven and stove were filthy. The grill was a complete fire hazard - hasn’t been cleaned EVER and was rusted out. The outdoor lounge chairs where all covered in mold. Trash along the pool deck (if that’s what you call it). The net to the ping pong table was broken. We checked out early because it just sucked - no other way to put it. The homeowner really should consider visiting the property because I would be horrified if it were my home.
We had a wonderful family vacation for our first time at the Outer Banks. Reservations, check in and check out we’re extremely easy. The pool was cleaned twice the week we were there. Also the garbage outside was collected and cans were returned by the resort’s staff. Everything was great!!

ROACH IN THE BED says it all......
Upon entry we noticed the following: crumbs on the kitchen floor, hairs in the bathroom drawers, razor in the shower, a bedroom toilet did not flush, master bathroom mirror that was covered in smudge, dirty pool with trash all around, and an unclean uncovered grill.
As the week progressed, the hallway bathroom smelled of urine, dust everywhere, dirty diapers in the dresser, a broken hot tub, a roach on the kitchen floor, and dirty dishes I’m the cabinets.
It would also be nice to drive several hours and have some hand soap, dish soap, and at least one decent knife. I’m not expecting to go on family vacation and have to buy cutting utensils or basic human toiletries.
The straw that broke the camel’s back were the roaches we found later in the week. One IN THE BED. I have photos of this roach along with the one found in the kitchen.
Following our discovery of a roach in the bed on Wednesday, we slept one more night and then decided that we would take time out of our vacation to visit the Resort Realty office in Corolla the next day. We had already called on day one, but we felt a face to face was imperative. We went there with a list of our grievances and finally received an apology from the office manager after being prompted for one. A few hours later after long consideration we decided that we were going to leave our vacation early and head home Thursday afternoon. So we packed up while a plumber was fixing the toilet. We really didn’t want to wait around for an exterminator to spray the house we paid a lot of money to relax in after finding a roach in the BED.
After leaving we’ve had some back and forth email communication with the Resort manager. The owner agreed to refund half of a day’s stay only. We really didn’t think this nearly compensated our aggravation and disappointment after spending so much money to have a full week of vacation.
There was also conjecture regarding whether or not the bugs we found were roaches or water bugs. After doing a fair amount of internet research and photo analysis, the bugs found were cockroaches and NOT water bugs. AND again, we found one IN THE BED. I should not be finding any bug AT ALL in the bed that I am sleeping in on vacation.
The owner was unwilling to make any further adjustments to a refund and now I have wasted another 30 minutes of my life detailing our experience when all we wanted to do was enjoy our time away with our children. This is a horribly managed property.
