Relax on the wrap around deck or kick back by a fire and enjoy a night of cocktails or smores with family and friends. Just a short ride or leisurely stroll to the beach. House was pet friendly and on the canal. The home was easy to access and was well stocked for a vacation. Only concerns were mosquitoes at night but once you follow the recommendations of the homeowner, there were no problems. Highly recommend staying at this home if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation!

Charming Cottage

Our stay here was excellent! We enjoyed using the kayaks, trying a little fishing, and having a bonfire. The location of the cottage was perfect for spending the day on beach and then coming back to relax in the evening.

Relaxing retreat

This little piece of heaven was very relaxing. They had every amenity I could have wanted. The adventurous drive on the beach was new a different for us. Staying here we got to see horses right in the canal. Such a magical stay.

Wonderful

This cabin is perfect! Nice large deck overlooking the channel, super close to the beach. The owners have made the cabin cozy and they have provided everything you might need!

Amazing house for our stay in Carova

We absolutely loved our stay at Dew Drop Inn. The house is adorably decorated, comfy and cozy, and had everything we needed and more- a well-stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, grilling supplies, beach gear, and more. The outdoor areas were great with swings, fire pit, and seating area. The wrap around deck was probably my favorite and was our dog’s favorite too. We saw horses in the yard every day. We really enjoyed our stay and the house was the perfect place to relax after spending the day on the beach. My only regret is not booking it for longer!! Thank you, Jeff and Sherry!!

Anniversary getaway

This is our second time staying here! And we will be booking again for September. We absolutely love it here, the peace, seclusion, 4x4 adventures and nature is everything our soul needs to reboot. The house has everything you need and makes you feel like you are at home. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the River otters play. My husband caught some bass and crabs in the canal outback. The horses are a beautiful bonus watching them in the wild.

Peacful Stay

From the egrets roosting at senset across the water to wild horses grazing in the yard, this place connects you with nature. Quick access to the sound and coves to kayak, and a quick drive to the beach. Exploring the surrounding areas in your 4x4 is a treat. It was a great place to disconnect from the rest of the world and be present in your getaway. Hosts were above and beyond. Nearly all aspects of our stay exceeded our expectations.

First time

This was our first experience to Carova Beach. It was the best stay for us with 81 year old mother and two dogs. This place was so accommodating in the kitchen as well as the other areas. We couldn’t find one bad thing about it. We are already talking about coming back in the fall. Thank you for such a great time.

This was our third visit, and we enjoy coming here so much we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when in the OBX area. Our hosts go the extra mile to make each stay memorable. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and is exceptionally well maintained. An added bonus is the gorgeous sunsets!

A True Getaway!

We loved our weekend at the Dew Drop Inn! It was super relaxing and refreshing. The cottage had all we needed—very cute and stylish. It was perfect for my husband and I. The horses came into the yard as we were sitting out in the evening. Everything was comfortable and easy!

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Beautiful, clean and quiet property with everything you need to have a perfect stay on 4x4 beach. And the horses off the balcony almost every morning were breath taking. The host was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Definitely would recommend this place.

The Dew Drop Inn is a beautiful cottage. All the conveniences of home and then some. The location was perfect for us. Loved the short drive to the 4x4 beach. What a great time we had. Would absolutely stay here again!!!!

Plan to Stay Longer

We arrived in Norfolk frazzled by life but the drive to OBX and ensuing beach drive literally helped us depressurize like our tire air pressure. Our hosts provided great directions, a clean and cozy home, and all the watercraft toys we could have hoped for, plus fishing gear. Four nights was definitely too short, just sayin’.

We had the most amazing time exploring Carova, watching the horses, swimming in the ocean, and playing games at the house. Everything we could have possibly needed was available. We cant wait for a return trip!
