With bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends, it would work well for a family or two couples. The apartment is quiet and very secure. We appreciated having a private parking place and direct access to the small park next to the cathedral. The street market in front of the cathedral was a treat. "Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

"Very comfortable house in a lovely spot (only slight difficulty is the spiral staircase - which could be tricky for some). Especially good if you like fishing with a beautiful lake right outside the front door. Surroundings are extremely quiet and peaceful with plenty of nice walks in the area. Host’s really nice and friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back."

"A really lovely gite in a lovely village, with a convenient garden attached with table, chairs and sun loungers in the afternoon shade. Gite conversion was fine, though some of the equipment was idiosyncratic, with microwave/grill but no oven. Only a two burner hob and unnecessary dishwasher (for 2 people?). 3 steak knives but no butter knives. The dining/living room cupboards were ancient and two of the doors fell off while we were there.
